Default They should all do this...

As someone thats been lusting after a 911 for nearly all of my 51 years on earth, so nice to see such a proud happy day for this guy. Mine is sitting in Emden so for now thought I would share this random video I came across today. Would be cool if all dealers did it like this.. just a few min long, enjoy!

Not my cup of tea. Asked the dealer to make it as low key as possible. Signed some papers, got a PCM tour and out the door.

Man, I hope my delivery at PEC ATL is nothing like that.... That's a bit much for my taste...

But if that's the kind of thing you want at your delivery - do it and enjoy...

haha okay guys, calm down, just thought it was a nice way for some. Totally get thats it's over the top for others. For long time 911 dreamers making something special out of a dealer experience is a nice gesture. I have seen 992's at my dealer being delivered to customers and the car is just sitting there, outside in a parking spot like its a fleet Camry pick up day. A little effort would be cool.

The dealer should do whatever make the customer happy.

I don't disagree with you that there should be something to make the delivery a special occasion if you want it... We're paying 6 figures for these cars, the dealer can make the experience special for their buyers if their buyers want something like that... Although knowing Porsche and most dealer's they'd likely charge us $3k for the "Exclusive Manufaktur" delivery experience...

All I'm saying is what was in that video is not what I'd want from a delivery experience. But I'm also not criticizing if that's what you want - because it's your delivery of your car, and it should be what you want it to be...

Very cool! Looks like every bit the delivery experience they’d hoped for. Big moment, not only for the new owner but the whole family!

That was really cool. I like seeing what people from other cultures do. I know for many people here their 911 is just a beater and they have a stable of other high end cars... but for people like me and more than few others, a Porsche is aspirational and it's great to see others celebrating achieving their dream!

But if it floats this guy’s boat, good for him.

Definitely not my cup of tea, but good for him. He did just spend probably between $250,000-$300000 usd for a carrera S in a country where the median family income is about $3500 a year. So to put that in perspective, median family income in the US is approximately 70 k a year. The equivalent would be someone in the US buying a $5-6 million dollar car.

A lot of people can eat after that purchase. It is a big deal.
