Rennlist Marketplace recommended?
My ‘23 T order froze March 9 and has ETA to dealer May 12. Will sell my 2020 S when the T reaches Emden. Is the Vehicle Marketplace here on Rennlist recommended? My car will sell itself, all I need is a place where it will be seen. Experiences good and bad, post here.

Sure, RL has a great audience. I haven't sold a car but I have sold parts before. Given you have so much lead time, have you given pcar market, BAT or collecting cars some thought?

Any experiences with pcarmarket? What does BAT bring to the table?

I sold a car through bat. It was a process to get posted. Auction did alright, no complaints. It did take the new owner 2 months to pick up the car though

I have had great success with a dealer / consignment. They take in Porsche from all over country and ship the same. Probably have the biggest inventory of used Porsche in the country.
I have dealt with Nick and will do so in the future. https://www.grandprimotors.com Maybe worth a phone call or email. Good luck with the sale and the new arrival.

Try dealer consignment. You set the price and they take a small cut. Think mine asked for 6%, but even giving up the 6% I still walked away with more than what the same dealership was offering on trade. Plus, I got the tax credit as they showed it as a trade in.

I have purchased 2 cars from RL Marketplace before. I had to fly across the country and deal with out of state registration/Titles etc... But the people on here are great + enthusiasts, so was worth at least getting some history and buying from someone who likely cares about the car as much as I hoped they did. All I can say is make sure to offer up a good place for the new owner to get a PPI done... I went through what I thought was a good Porsche dealer on one of them and it turned into a bit of an issue when they did a half *** job on the PPI and the car was shipped to Boston with some pre existing issues that they claimed they "did see". I guess what I am trying to advise is, might be better to deal with a local buyer, but in this case its a pretty new car so issues or things like that should be pretty minimal.

I’ve sold vehicles on BAT. Seems to work well for those vehicles that tend to be scarce, with a limited potential audience, yet relatively high value. The only downside IMHO is the length of time from when you start the listing process and when the vehicle is actually published on their site.

I have sold a lot of parts on RL with no issues. I also sold some on the PCA marketplace, again no issues. In both places you are dealing with people who are completely into Porsche cars and generally a better class of people who can afford your product, so fewer payment issues. You just need to give very accurate descriptions of any problems because these people are discerning. Should not matter with a new car,

Take a look at the marketplace (you can see what recently sold if you filter). The cars that are priced well are moving quick, those that are not are sitting. Things are different than a year ago when you would have gotten over MSRP for a 2020 with some miles on it.
Did the dealer offer you something reasonable on the trade? If you are getting a new car take into account the sales tax credit on the trade in value. If the dealer are within a few percent of private sale prices (after accounting for sales tax benefit) it is worth it just to trade it in rather than to deal with buyers who want to test drive the car, have you take it to various places for a PPI etc.
