Seems like I'm alone with Race-Tex headliner. I personally prefer it over the standard material. At the minimum, I always opt for Race-Tex anywhere that are low-touch areas -- it gives much needed organic textures to a rather stark/stale black interior.

I agree, I have a 997 S and a cayenne GTS and both have alcantara headliners, they are great and notice it every day.

Me love the Race-Tex headliner too!

So interesting. I'd love to look at a racetex roof one of these days. I must've looked at every single option in detail but never considered the racetex roof. I've never even looked upwards while being in my car.

Best pic I have from night of delivery but with my deviated racetex slick top it was a must and goes great (wish I’d have put the mirror surround in racetex for $440- gets deviated stitch on it). 991 GTS had it as standard and I enjoyed the look so checked the box.

and agree with leather wheel. I had racetex on my 991.2 and it held up great. Leather with deviated stitch looks great. See my thread on the back door package (though it’s harder with CR- which was my original go to color but I switched out of it because it was hard to match)

consider SD side skirts

Not my photo but from my archives

Some R-T photos that I have. Maybe this will help you decide...or maybe just complicate your decision some more
