PPF with Ceramic Coating - all in one
I have Valor PPF (which is billed as all in one ceramic/wrap) on the front clip. The rest of the car is ceramic coated. From a hydrophobic perspective the Valor is at least as slick. I like it, I’d do it again. Next time I might even wrap the whole thing in it. 6 months, 6,000 miles and it’s holding up great so far. Like any PPF as mentioned ad nauseum in numerous threads installer quality is key.
Thanks for that feedback. Agree on installer - this is newer so I am being sold that I am going to get the "best" installer b/c they want to use this as an example car. We will see. Seems like the cost is not that much more for the ceramic film so I may just give it a shot.

I am a bit skeptical with this 2 in 1 method. When PPF is applied, I think the installer will need to stretch the film here and there. Does ceramic coating also stretch? If so, wouldn't the coating layer thickness be thinner?
No idea, all I know is it seems to work. Installer did say that it will eventually wear off though
Because ceramic coatings can be layered for a more durable coating overall and it’s fun to get intimate with my 992 while applying it myself.
It’s not difficult to apply a quality over the counter ceramic coating like some will have you believe and they do wear out just like wax did.
