Still dead in the water, Porsche failed to send all 67 parts that had to be ordered. The poor service manager called yesterday and claims everything will be in today. They "fixed" the front splitter but painted it matte black!! LOL WTF! So maybe next week but I'd bet the following week. Porsche called yesterday and thought the car was back into my hands. Still a lot more to come. The story is only getting better. 39 days and still counter.

What rotten luck. I hope they get you up and running as fast as possible with an outcome you are satisfied with. Good luck.

Does something like this get reported on places like carfax?

Just need to pull out the arbitration booklet included in your owners manual. No need for an attorney. Car makers are required to abide by arbitration rulings and this is a slam dunk. I’ve used the process before. Painless and fast. OP will be at the dealership Spec’in his new ride in less than 60 days.

Back in 2008 I had an issue with a GMC Yukon. The car would just kill the battery if it sat. I'd come home off a trip and my battery would be dead!! Same attorney is on this one. I'll give you guys all the facts when this plays out. Porsche actually called yesterday and told me what had been approved by PCNA. I told her the car was still at the dealership and she was shocked. I informed her that counsel was now handling all matters. But if they wanted to offer free coffee for life I was a YES! LOL She totally understood and was embarrassed that it's come to this. Stay tuned. Let's hope she comes out next week but I'm planning May 2023! This is about bad as its get but I wouldn't be surprised if this engine comes apart too. This isn't normal for a dealership and they only have one master tech on staff. I did ask about carfax and the dealership claims Porsche reports and it's up to them what goes on carfax. Porsche controls it is the claim from the dealership. Honest you guys you'll be surprised what my ask was and why would Porsche push it this far, on this matter. It was a true win/win ask. Nothing for free! But I was forced down the Nuclear option.

My gone 992 is for sale for over 70 days and had a replaced engine. I bought a CPO car once with major damage and clean carfax.

no kidding. i was just thinking that. about six months ago when i took my Porsche 997 to Porsche SLC to have the alternator replaced and MT fluid changed. i get a call a month later saying "your car is ready" and go to pick up, put 15 miles on it and i smell some fluid. stop and look. MT fluid leaking all over the place. it took those dip ****s three times to get a MT fluid change right just so it wasn't leaking. i can't even imagine this.

carfax only reports what was reported to them.
my wife had an 2020 Alfa that was literally run into twice, once by an exhausted uber or food driver while it was sitting on side of the street and a second time by someone who ran into her while the driver was texting. first repair was about $2K to fix, second was over $5K. when we went to go trade it in for her Cayenne neither of them showed up on the carfax! both repairs were completed by the Ferrari dealership (its an Alfa / Maserati / Ferrari dealer). we were both amazed but what do you do?
lots of cars driving around that have been damaged and the owners (new) have no idea.

Every body shop I've used reports NOTHING to carfax. It will be very interesting what the carfax shows on this car!! Porsche flat bed damaged the front splitter when they dragged it up the flat bed!!
