I went from 2020 C4S PDK to a 2022 GTS MT RWD, amazing difference obviously. If you’re going with the same drivetrain options, the difference would be much less. The 22 is also much more refined with the updated PCM, and the interior has most of the bugs worked out. Bose woofer, rear entry release strap, homelink etc.

If you already have an S, it’s not that big of a leap or step. If you are looking to go from PDK to manual, sure, it’s worth it. If you’re looking to do a completely different spec, also worth it.
The more interesting transition is from an S to a T. 🤔

Not a big performance upgrade. If you're dissatisfied with your car, sure. But its not a quantum leap in performance, handling. etc. So, unless there's something about the GTS is a gotta-have-it, then upgrade. Otherwise?
