Default Anyone install aftermarket headers?

How difficult was it to install aftermarket headers? Considering aftermarket headers.

Did you guys notice any power gains and response?

I think the consensus as of now is that headers will lose power and that the stock units are actually very good.

We have sold a lot of Soul headers for the 992 series and I have not heard of any complaints. Any issues during install and Soul is actually very good with customer service to help guide you through any problems if they come up.

We can get you a deal on the headers if interested.

Were there dyno charts to prove this?

See comments from Charles at M Engineering who has tested it.

I thought it was M Engineering that said there was nothing to be had firm aftermarket headers.

Correct….and he discusses his testing in response to request for dyno results.

I'm running Europipe 100 cell cats and there's no question it improves power (down low) and sound. This thread discusses them -- Europipe Thread . I didn't see where M Engineering said they don't do anything. I'm no expert, but from what I understand, freer flowing headers, especially on turbo cars, will always have some positive benefit.

Took a couple tries for them to get the unit sorted out without a CEL, but the version they now have has been running fine in my car for several weeks.

Cats have an improvement but headers do not is what was said. This thread was about headers not sport cats or bypass pipes.

Got it. My bad; I just read it as cats for some reason - prob cause I saw "soul".

Correct. Charles statement and his empirical support for his opinion is in the thread titled “Anyone Running Sport Cats and Headers”. The aftermarket headers currently available for the 992 actually reduce power because they are not as good as factory.

Your assumption is that the aftermarket headers are better than the factory headers which is true on the 991.2 but not the 992 as Porsche changed the design.

Nah I was just confusing headers and downpipes/sport cats.
