Porsche Dealer achieves a new low

Look - give the GM or owner one chance to make this right. Your exact post here is what I would send them.
and then if nothing happens... public shaming. I'm not one to write a public review without giving the seller a chance - but if the let you down (and no threatening them), then post this to everyone who might listen.- along with the dealer name.

Why are people so scared to post the names of the dealers …..stop being so whimpy …..we need this info so we know not to shop there, which will make that dealer make less profits and maybe learn that they can’t treat people like this and still be in business.

Also, some of us don't live near multiple dealers. I happen to live 5 minutes from the only dealer in my state, with the next one being about an hour away. Makes my life difficult if I call them out in a public forum before doing everything reasonable to rectify the situation.

a. 1.
b. Escalate at your dealer and if no quick resolution, push hard to get allocation moved to a pre-vetted dealer that won't pull this horsesh*t.
I firmly believe the market is going to turn in the next 1-2 years and dealers will be wanting buyers. A sh*t list needs to be created so we all know which dealers in each state to avoid like the plague.

I had an issue solved by PCNA that my dealer was not willing to solve for me. Whoever says that Porsche doesn't care is wrong. They do, this is straight up making their brand look like crap. They still have to sell other cars not just 911's and this makes them look terrible. Call PCNA and have them resolve this for you is what I would do.

Sorry to hear about your situation @buxs . Definitely slimey behavior.
I was on a local dealer's GT4 list with a deposit in place from May 2021 - November 2022. I started 9th and was finally at #4 when I got the call that it wasn't going to happen. That communication was immediately followed by a "we got a bonus allocation that will go to the first to raise their hand". The following conditions were in place:
1). They'd already spec'd the car to $143k
2) Required the purchase of a $15k Porsche watch (now that was almost funny)
3) Pay for $10k worth of PPF and Ceramic coating
When I asked why that allocation didn't instead go to the next customer in line (wouldn't have been me) who'd waited in good faith and stated that it felt slimey, that's when all communication from the dealership stopped.
I went across the bay to the dealer we'd purchased a Macan S from the year before and got lucky on a T allocation at list, no forced service plan, ppf, etc... which we memorialized in a signed Order & Deposit Agreement. If based on other's suggestions, you don't get the desired result from the GM or PCNA, I'd swing by some local dealers to see what they can do. I've briefly shared my experience with other dealers without sharing SA names, etc....or mudslinging only so they're aware that I've gotten burned and am no mood to deal with that again.
Personally, I wouldn't count on a remedy with your current dealer but instead would work on building a new relationship with another.

This is so bad and I really feel for you. When I was putting my deposit down in Sept 2021 for my 911 we signed up the agreement that they would honor MSRP, so when I got my allocation in Aug 2022 it was MSRP and when it arrives in Feb I'm paying MSRP without any add-ons. It is crazy world right now.
We are trying to get allocation for a new 2023 Range Rover Sport and it is even worse. No dealer here would honor MSRP even if you are willing to wait. It is +$20k min. So we will wait as it is more a want than a need. Or we just wait for 2024 Cheyenne...I'm sure the market will soften at some point in time once FED is done with its work.

Not surprised really. The issue with this particular circumstance is actually pretty simple. You originally had your dealer place you on an order / wait list for an msrp allocation (which many dealers are of course happy to do). The complication here came when you were able to get PCNA to grant you an allocation vs. the dealer giving you one they were issued. You see, the dealer never intended to fill the msrp allocation to you “until” their adm wait list and market was exhausted (most every dealer has two lists, adm willing and msrp). So instead they decided to get creative with all the add on goodies to your deal to make up for it. They would probably rather you walk away so they can put their full adm on that allocation to someone else waiting. Sad state of business practices but very likely what went down here.
OP I too am really impressed you convinced PCNA to give you an allocation. I hope you can find another dealer who you’re likely to enjoy working with simply on the basis of shedding first dealer baggage. That’s my sense after spending time in 3 dealerships the tone/vibe can vary a lot, and it’s so obvious when there’s a good fit.

Maybe time has changed but I had a not-so-good experience with them. When I approached Porsche Fremont for a base/S mid last year, they were charging a 15~20k ADM to put me on the waitlist. I know the market was at the peak at that time but I was able to get MSRP deals from several other bay area dealers.
