Default Bose is back!

Just an fyi for anyone that may have an allocation that has not yet froze for a C2 etc. Bose is back as a stand alone option at $1600 in the new US configurator. However, still not an option within the premium package.

Isn't that thing supposed to be a stripped down version anyway. No luxury aspects. Just engine, and performance. The true driver's car. Aren't you supposed to opt for radio delete and just listen to the sound of the engine.

Ah - yes, that is certainly the “ethos”

I'm wondering if Bose can be added by dealers in their ordering system although it's not available in the public configurator

Unfortunately, radio delete for 911s has not been available in the U.S. since very early in the 991.2 run. Only a few early 991.2 GT3 buyers were able to spec it and then…poof. I’d love to delete radio, nav, the whole stinkin’ tv. But laws won’t allow it and the car would stop working. Boooo.

Porsche marketing is so brilliant that they converted the 1967 entry level trim "T" into a desirable "driver's car".

ethos schmethos . . . . marketing at its worst. Porsche's press kit mentions "purist" and then some people start thinking to own a T you have to honor the hype. This car in my eyes, is built for owners who love to be totally engaged with their vehicle sacrificing some of the comforts we've grown to expect a quiet cabin, 4 seats, soft ride, and automatic transmission. The only reason I had an S ordered originally was to get a manual, when the T came along it was a no-brainer for me. It's not getting raced for pink slips, it's getting driven hard by me on some of my favorite winding, undulating roads. Giddy up

Musicar said that they are working on upgrades for the base stereo similar to what they just came out with for the Bose, if you’re willing to take a risk. Assuming that you like to wrap yourself in leather.
