In 1974 I owned a Porsche1973 911 S. I spent a lot of money making it lighter and the engine more powerful. I changed out the injecting system. as well as the exhaust.
A buddy of my bought. a Porsche1974 RS Carrara. It was Illegal as you could not register the car as it was a grey car. the thing was he was not able to drive it
on the road. Being the 70'S He didn't care. Drove any way, when it came to the track, the car was not as fast. there were other cars that were 911, that were faster.
including my 911, True be told the sugar scoop slowed the car down compared to the standard 911 design. I Know a lot of you had winged Porsche's. on your walls
it is an icon because of its beauty. Not its unbelievable Speed. You Want That do a 935. That was Scary.

I wonder if pjfrank will ever post again or if “he” can pass the I’m-not-a-robot test….I guess no for both….

Aerokit.
I love me a whale tail, and even a duck tail, but I don't think the length of either of those would work on a 992 - the attachment point is too far back on the body and either style of tail would extend past the rear bumper by an awkward margin.

Not trying to be a smart **** here, but I’m honestly curious why people make posts like this.
First of all, I’ve noticed that a very high percentage of post asking, “Rate my build?” or “Help me decide…” are either first time or single-digit posters. And many never post again after getting the thing they were seeking advice for.
Next, I don’t understand the motivation or goal. I mean, don’t most people research what they want and then buy it? I can see asking for images, experience, or knowledge, and asking others to help in gathering information. But to simply ask us to vote on which dress makes the butt look the smallest, is just strange to me. To be honest, I question if many of these aren’t just posted to see what reaction they will get.
He made the decision on which car to buy entirely without Rennlist advice (based on posts), but he needs to consult Rennlist for the tail? Again, just another observation - no offense implied.
Maybe it’s an age thing. I’m not on FB or Twitter, or anything so I’m ignorant of the whole everything-is-on-public display thing. Maybe it’s just standard practice for people to share everything (but why not the whole choosing of the car thing?)
I’m honestly perplexed, and I’m not criticizing…maybe these are genuine posts by Porsche enthusiasts, and this cranky old guy is out of touch…maybe it’s irrelevant and car guys just love any opportunity to talk cars. Inquiring minds want to know.

Yes. They come standard in gloss carbon fiber and I had mine painted. Here it is test fitted in carbon fiber before I painted it. Also check out this white 992 coupe w/ white painted DarwinPro lip.
