I am getting my new Chalk Targa 4S wrapped this week and am thinking of having it done using Stealth PPF. I'd love to hear from people who have it on their cars. Do you like it? Is it difficult to keep clean? Any other thoughts on it?
I had my 2018 Black GT3 done Xpel Stealth film. I also had Ceramic coating put over the film. It looked great and made cleaning very easy.
But- I do not know if I would do it on Chalk. Chalk to my eyes is not an exciting color although I do like it. I would prefer to keep Chalk nice and shiny rather than dull it even further.
I used stealth ppf on my old 991.2 RS and had no regrets. Easy to wash and clean and I had the carbon pieces wrapped in regular gloss ppf. If you like the look why not.
For me I wanted the chalk to look like it did from the factory, so I went with gloss. The guys had one in a couple months before mine and it was wrapped in stealth. It looks good as well if you like the more matte appearance. For me I like how chalk really pops on that bright sunny day and I didn’t want to lose that. I also have a Targa, so have a lot of black on it.
I did XPEL Stealth on my 992. It was quite a bit of work (luckily I was away on vacation when they did it). They had to take apart the door and disassemble parts of the car to get it done properly. But I think it turned out well. I also had ceramic coating applied to make it easier to clean. The film is still holding up after 3 years of use. But I have some spots near the side skirts with some dirt that got into the film... But overall I am very satisfied with the Stealth film. It gives the car a unique look!
I have a white Macan in stealth.. its great and stands out.. no finger prints.. but if u put on a light car the corners or line in the end will eventually fill with dirt and will get annoying. not sure if I'd do that on a 992.
