Upgrade grills
#46
Anyone install these on the standard 992 grill? They sent me some pics of the grills themselves, but I don't really understand where the side "clip" on each goes or what it would clip into since it inserts a bit and goes in front of the side molding?

The clips wedge in behind the vertical lip. Clip is probably not the best description. You can see the clip in the lower right corner of the picture below. It is more like a blade spring. I installed on my daily driver C2S with standard front and they have been a good addition. With respect to posts calling them chicken wire, these are substantial stainless steel woven mesh with a quality powder coating.

Yes, there is a clip on the bottom edge about 40-50 mm from the inner vertical edge of the Zunsport grill. Once the grill is seated, reach through the grill with a flat screwdriver and push the clip down. It may help to gently push the grill inward for the clip to clear the plastic opening on the car. Have you seen this video?

Grille Zip Ties (No Drill) install
I installed the ZunSport Grilles with out drilling
Use Zip Ties to lock them in place
Zip Tie for my peace of mind, Probably not necessary
Outboard Zip tie for my peace of mind

Do those levers adjust at 70km/hr to close? I don’t think they do in that grill. They do on the standard 911 so I don’t believe ties can be used?
