If people just specced there cars a bit better we wouldn’t have need to go through all this trouble. Of course some people hate yellow. But don’t order a yellow car then
Reviving this thread back since my GTS came with a standard grey/black watch face and I wanted to change it to guards red.
I looked at the eBay seller asking for $75 bucks, is the red in their watch face "Guards Red"? can anyone confirm?
Heres the eBay red gauge. It isn’t as dark as the Bordeaux leather but nor do I see any of the orange/red that you see in Guards red. The advantage of being up on the dash is that the shade of red probably is hard to notice. For $80 I say go for it.
I just did it. Installation was not too bad. However, I could not align the needle back at 12 position. It is 3 seconds ahead. Any idea how to fix it? Thanks

Did you disable the clock BEFORE you started the mod making sure the needle was properly aligned at 12 o'clock? Not sure doing it now will help but it's worth a try. Disable and re-enable see if that helps. GL

I did, not sure why. However, I removed the needle, plug it in and “turn off the clock”, and put back the needle. It works! Thanks
I just did it - but my clock's needle rests at same position as your's when the car is turned off - isn't it supposed to rest at 60?

I am working on this right now and I spent over an hour trying to remove the SC clock from the dash assembly until I stumbled across this thread - thanks to all that contributed since when I read that the 17mm socket needs to be turned clockwise instead it came right out. By the way, I got the Shark Blue face from this place: https://gaugefaces.com/product-categ...rsche/911/992/ They custom make each one and they are perfect - pic coming as soon as I can wrap it up.
