Default Carrera Classic wheels with the insides painted black

Hi folks,

I’ve noticed a few 992s with Carrera Classic wheels with the “insides” painted high gloss black. The configurator only allows this for Exclusive Design wheels. Any thoughts on how to get this done - should I ask the dealer to do it in their system? Thanks.

I have the Carrera Classic Wheels on a 992, and the inside is painted the very dark Agate Grey color... Are you sure it was black? If it was, it was done aftermarket because as you mention, the Porsche build sheets and config will only paint the specific exclusive design wheels.

I was curious on this idea as well. Some OEM stock with the dark grey interiors sometimes look black in photos. I think they would look great with black gloss interiors as well. I am sure could be done by a good wheel refinishing shop.

Thanks. May have been Agate. You were able to paint it directly during your build via Porsche? Were you able to do so via the configurator/dealer or did you get it done after market?

The Carrera Classic Wheels actually come standard with the inner rims painted in gloss Agate Grey... There is no option to switch the color, so basically if you get the classic wheels, you will get the dark interior color and the silver fronts

Someone on here had their Carrera classic insides or “pockets” custom painted black. It looked really good.

Same here - I actually like the darker inside, since it hides the break dust better.....
