Man, I wish I truly felt I could address this. Im kinda stuck, I pre-traded my car and Im in the hole on that front. So leverage is in the dealers corner I feel. I agreed to 15k on my GTS back in Oct (due here in a month), and I somewhat justified it given half of the ADM was covered by my above market exit on my 22 RS7. I have signed bill of sale docs with the 15k, so if I even attempted a negotiation I feel like Id be shown the door. Its a crapshoot for sure, but Im in the Dallas market and I feel like someone would step in behind me for sure. May not be their first call to arms, but theyd find a buyer. In the end Im not in a position to walk away, but financially between the adventitious trade and potential price increase at this point (assuming Id go to 2024 at MSRP) I feel like it is what it is. Apologies for the logic rambling, but thats where Im at personally. Yes, I dug my own hole Im aware but pardon my French, F it as this point. Car is almost here and let the enjoyment reign.
Edit: I will say however, which is likely counter to my above situation, the fact I was 6th in line and I was able to negotiate the ADM to 15k I think is a sign. Even at 15k I was also still told I wouldnt see a car for 18 mos, but when the call came people in front of me clearly passed on ADM. So clearly things were moving even back in Oct regarding who was and who wasnt willing to pay ADM. In the end you do what you think is right for you.

Do you have a check already from pre-trading your old car?

Im not very smart, but whats the issue? Are you thinking youre no longer up for paying $15k ADM? If so, just tell them, or say your finances have changed where youre no longer able to purchase the vehicle.

No, this SOB is coming home with me. Just this discussion about trying to change the terms of a deal is what prompted by post. Oh well, back to drinking bourbon here in frozen Dallas!

Very similar to my situation. Waiting, waiting, waiting for a allocation in 2022. Most dealers told me 1-2 year wait for C2S.....Finally got a call on 9-10-22. ADM of $15K to order NOW and build exactly as I want, gotta act right now or they call next guy and need $5K deposit. I'm in!
Timeline:
Order created 9-14-22
Order scheduled for production 10-31-22
Vehicle produced 12-12-22
Vehicle arrives at dealer on 1-26-23
Picked up and shifting gears 1-30-23
TYD was right on target for me.
Did not even attempt to change ADM.
Two hour ride home in my new 911S created to my exact specifications, without waiting TWO years.......Priceless......Done forgot all about that $15K.....Life is short, enjoy your ride!
