There is a large difference between being anti-Nick and not agreeing with him. 🤔

Anyone who makes blanket statements about "anyone" is foolish and bound to be wrong some of the time.

ok…but you’re a proponent of “differences”. So still good, right? I just don’t understand how you complain about someone’s opinion by arguing that it’s good to have different opinions.

I'm with him on that one. It's just a bunch of options I don't want.

He's probably going to stick with his 993 because. . .why not? Of course there's the risk of his channel becoming extremely boring.
I like the GTS. But to his point, am I really going to complain about my 443 HP, 11 second 1/4 mile, 191 MPH C2S when it arrives? Some of this is theoretical that never see the light of day when you're driving to Whole Foods.

Personally, I'd never shop Corvette. Reason? GM.

(My dad was always a GM customer until the 1971 GM strike. I worked in two Chevy dealers in the 1970's. Owned a Suburban 454 in the '90's. The Suburban was a decent tow vehicle but I wouldn't go back to GM for anything these days).
I had a Trans Am when I was young. When I had a little more money in my forties, I bought a V8 BMW M5. The sound of a German engine is far more appealing to me than an American V8. I rented a Dodge Charger when I went back to LA last month for a football game. My wife and I got in that car, and we were embarrassed by how loud it was. There's just something about the sounds of a German engine that will never allow me to stray.

I've never gotten my C2S close to wide open.
I value my driver's license too much.

I took my Audi S4 to ~115mph once. Visions of being thrown in jail flashed in my head as a backed off of the accelerator.

ED is the one chance that most of us in the US get to legally drive at speeds that are unthinkable. If I take my 911 on the autobahn and get to 140-150, I’ll make sure the GoPro captures it and save the memory forever. Anything above that are speeds I’m not willing to consider….for now

Y'all need to live a little! I try to floor it at least every week or so - the ol' Italian tuneup. Plus the sound is glorious as you approach redline in 3rd, or 4th if you find a wide-open enough stretch of road.

hmmm i never considered track time. I have illegal street racing roots, so its hard to think about legally driving at insane speeds. I'll check it out. thx!

Just remember, people always talk about "top speed", but in truth, all the fun is in the corners.

absolutely. It’s funny how many people ask how fast you go when they find out you do track days, never understanding that lap times are far more relevant. But yes, on the track you will experience full throttle to the redline in 2nd, 3rd, maybe even 4th.

If you really want to see what your top speed is, investigate the "Silver State Classic Challenge".
Highway 318 near Ely, Nevada.

Man that is wicked cool! I sure wish we had something like that in Florida! That would be a blast. Scary as hel! but definitely a rush to be able to go flat out on a nice long highway with no fear of going to jail. Thanks for sharing that!
