His comments are often uninformed and speculative. He doesn't own a new/modern 911 but yet folks seems to care about his perspectives.
I rather watch some Nick Murray videos then read dribble from some Porsche people.

I value his opinion. Doesn't mean I always agree with it.

And the C8 is a fine car. I'd never own a corvette because I'm too much of a Porsche snob (being honest) but the fact that that car exists at that price with that performance and that equipment level should make Porsche feel bad about itself.

Why the hate?

I don't find Nick all that informative, but he's genuinely a nice person. (I know, I've communicated directly with him offline)

Not sure I can say the same of some folks in this thread.

Why should Porsche feel bad about itself? That's nonsense, I get that you're playing nice.

If a comedian says something, it's a joke. How do I say don't be so sensitive without offending? These modern times have my brain in a knot. I get that sarcasm isn't socially acceptable anymore.

I think Nick is a very nice person and is well spoken. He's still a soy boy.... Or what does he call himself? "Kiwi"?.. Yeah, soy boy indeed.

Lots of soy in both of these quoted posts.

why is a Kiwi a “soyboy”? I’m a Kiwi, and Aussie, and proud of both. You could do better than call people names in making a point.

I have no interest in the Corvette. People keep trying to make the Corvette vs 911 a thing. Sure some people cross shop the two, but I've cross shopped an M5 with a Jeep Wrangler, so that doesn't mean much.

I don't like Corvette culture.

I don't like the looks of the thing - I can overlook a lot for good looks. The c8 is, by far, the ugliest one they've ever made. Dealbreaker.

I don't particularly like the interior, but it's not a deal breaker.

Dealership experience is hit or miss. There are sh*tty Porsche dealers and there are probably great Chevy dealers, so it's hard to say one way or another.

Re: Nick Murray - I don't really care either way. It seems extremely late to be making a C8 video, so maybe it was a slow news day for him.Unlike ipse, my limited interaction with him was not as positive and I thought he was dogmatic to the point of being arrogant, but I'm actually ok with someone having strong opinions, so no harm no foul.

I'll preface my comments because I'm a first-time 911 buyer and a Type A who likes tons of information before making decisions.

With that said, I don't understand the hatred of Nick Murray. I find him entertaining. I thought his two videos discussing every option informative and helpful. I'm still not buying a rear window wiper, but I appreciate his point. I also thought his video pleading for people to buy the manual, not the PDK, and the reasons a fun watch. Finally, he made great arguments about the C2S versus the C4S. My car will be the third car and garaged when the snow falls so I don't need the AWD.

He's entertaining and plays a role in introducing a new audience to the beauty of these wonderful cars that most of us have wanted all of our lives.

I also enjoy Nick's channel. As always, no one needs to watch it or visit threads like this one.

He's only down on the GTS because it's basically a marketing gimmick.
I'm with him on that one. It's just a bunch of options I don't want.

He's probably going to stick with his 993 because. . .why not? Of course there's the risk of his channel becoming extremely boring.

I don't agree with Nick on a lot of Porsche related issues but I am not certain why fully functioning adults love bashing him when he expresses an opinion that goes against theirs. 🤷

The Porsche community would be a quite dreary place 💤💤💤 if we all agreed with each other and there would be no dissent. He has changed my opinion on a lot of issues (biggest I can think of is Alcantara)!

I love the fact that the C8 & other variants exist! I wish it would fit my lifestyle but it has no rear seats! I am jealous & thankful of the value they provide. Without the competition I am sure Porsche would charge yet even more 💸💸💸💸💸 than they already do!

I'm with you, too. I'm glad it's out there. The whole point of a forum is to get a wide range of opinions. It would be boring otherwise.
Personally, I'd never shop Corvette. Reason? GM.

(My dad was always a GM customer until the 1971 GM strike. I worked in two Chevy dealers in the 1970's. Owned a Suburban 454 in the '90's. The Suburban was a decent tow vehicle but I wouldn't go back to GM for anything these days).

The only time I visit Nick Murray's channel is when I'm prompted to by a post/thread in this forum.

So obviously plenty of you guys here take interest in what he is saying.

And for the record, I've never interacted with him but he seems like a nice guy, and his opinions have never seemed unreasonable to me.

Minus his thoughts on everything, his general demeaner, clothing attire, his home, and general disposition, Nick Murray is GOD! END OF !

Then…shouldn’t you both be grateful for anti-Nick comments that may differ from your views? 🤷‍♂️
