Default Ruby Star

Did anyone else notice they just released ruby star as a "special color" available for purchase on the Carrera S Cab w/o PTS?! Just found it on the configurator.

Not sure its like regular ruby star. If you go to PTS and select rubystar the Neo looks a little lighter.

Configurator describes the color:

Ruby Star Neo is a new interpretation ("neo") of the very popular, historic Porsche color Ruby Star. Compared to the historic color Ruby Star Neo is slightly darker and less saturated with a modern touch.

Already shouldn’t have had one really. It’s surprisingly common, especially with 992s but even before.

Compared to the historic color Rubystone, PTS Ruby Star was already different by being darker / more saturated. I never really cared for the modern interpretation as it wasn’t “pink” enough or a little too far towards red.

I guess now with Ruby Star Neo we have different different? From what I can tell on the configurator (which is never that accurate) Neo actually looks slightly more accurate to the original Rubystone to me.

Thinking of converting my build to this: http://www.porschecode.com/PPTMHSX6

Currently I have the black w/ chalk interior. But I wonder how it is with graphite blue w/ chalk

Just an update on my build, unfortunately no change in color allowed for my allocation which locks in 6ish days.

I'm debating this color myself. I think it's supposed to be a little less pink, no? I like different colors that stand out. But I don't really want pink. I'm also considering Python Green. I absolutely love my Shark Blue CGTS and so does every person who lays eyes on it. It's actually amazing how everyone loves SB. But I worry that Ruby or Python will be polarizing, different for the sake of being different without necessary being better.

I really wish I could see Ruby Start Neo in person. I wonder when the first cars, even show cars, will be in the NY area.

Way too pink-purple. I don't get it. What am I missing?

Different strokes. I would have preferred they offered a nice dark green.
