Default Spec'ing my 23' 992 GTS 4 Targa

I am looking to make this a special build so looking at the PTS colors. The one I have settled on so far is Racing Green Metallic or Irish Green, they both look the same on the configurator. Has anyone seen either of these colors in person and are they that close in color? The order locks in a week so need to pin this down asap. Thanks

Do you have a PTS allocation? It has to be PTS, you can select it but I will not go V200 unless it's PTS. I tried and was told car wouldn't be here till late next year. If you have a PTS great! I personally like the green but would never do it.

Check out www.rennbow.org. Lots of photos that should help you see the differences.

My understanding that I do have a PTS allocation and that it should be delivered Q1 of 2023. I am going by the dealership today to see if they can help me with the colors as I am getting conflicting info online.

It might be the color but I am seeing different shades. Tough to tell online.

This page is the most helpful but if you click on the greens you can see how difficult it is to determine the exact hue. https://media.porsche.com/paint-to-sample/taycan/

PTS allocations are ran last is what I was told just a couple of months ago. No expert only know what the sales manager explained to me. The SM should have told you it was a PTS allocation and it's valuable if you ask me!! I wanted Acid green!! Good luck!!

What he said. From what I know, PTS, is towards the end of production.

Met with the dealer today to finalize my config and I was told that PTS can be ordered any time and if there is a delay it wont be anything significant. This is what I settled on, it is much different from anything I have and have had.

Hard to really get a feel for how that will look "in the flesh". But it is certainly going to be yours.

I suspect you have a dealership trying to hook you. He's pulling your dick and will try to keep you on the line for a car so the sales manager can keep his numbers up. You can order a PTS at any time but the allocation has to be PTS. 100% fact. If you order a PTS on any allocation that's not PTS it will fail to go V200 and sit till Porsche fills the allocation with the dealership. The sales man maybe new and not understand the process. I use to think I could build PTS at anytime too. Keep me informed!!! Ask if your order has gone V200 or sits V150, if you go V200 plan late summer. Standing by!!

agree something doesn’t make sense here - PTS can simply not be ordered at any time. For example, right now there is a freeze on PTS until I think the start of next year (though this may have changed recently, I’m not positive). I would for sure want the dealer to confirm V200 status to be safe.

I guess sometimes you have to roll the dice vs. being conservative on the spec. I know the colors will work together, just a question on how much I will like it.

A GTS 4 Targa wouldn't be a difficult allocation to sell so I dont think this is a matter of them being concerned about numbers. Although I haven't ordered a new Porsche in sometime, I have bought a lot of Porsches from this ownership group so I doubt they would mislead me, at least purposely. For now I will have to take their word but I will be happy to update this thread as the order progresses. In the meantime, I think this will be a very cool spec. I am now searching for tuning and exhaust options as these have as much power as my Wrangler 392.
