Best sounding 992 I’ve ever heard, maybe halfway to GT3

I put Sharkwerks race pipes. Still considering if I'm doing cats. They are outstanding.

No straight pipes here, but I’ll be installing Kline catless link pipes with the pse here shortly. I’ll get a video if you’re interested.

The closest you can get to a straight pipe is Soul's 3" valveless exhaust which comes with either sport cats or catless, both also 3". Mine had the sport cats.

My exhaust was loud as hell, and it sounded really aggressive at full throttle. The turbos are really loud with that set up

Thanks

Straight pipes are great if:

1) You never want to track your car (dB limits at the track will be exceeded)
2) You don't want to listen to your stereo or use your phone for conversations
3) Don't date and/or take your wife out to dinner, because no woman wants to be in your car
4) Enjoy being the jerk everyone hates at every stoplight while you show off your 12-year-old maturity level.

Have fun!

^ Pretty judgemental answer, if you ask me. My 992 had a loud exhaust, now my R8 has a loud titanium exhaust. My wife loves it, I got a lot of complements from people about how my 992 sounded (and not from teenagers). And I hear from the dealer that my 992 (with its exhaust) sold to a well-to-do couple that has homes in the US and Mexico and they specifically loved how it sounded.

If my loud exhaust draws sneers from people with your mindset, all I can say is: TOO BAD IT'S NOT LOUDER

I clapped because you finished (only 4), not because I like it.

Thats the never ending issue IMHO with videos and recordings of exhaust. The quality of the instruments and the surroundings just dont always yield what is heard live.

Consider my own crap video where, to me, its a brilliant build in person and I get thumbs up all day.

TFL Italy Race Exhaust (founder of Tubi)
Soul 200 Cell Cats
M Engineering valve adjustment (game changer here as the PSE valving limits the operation under 5k or so rpms)

This never hit past 5500 due to a dip in the road downstream ---

Well, this sounds even good on my PC speakers and headphones...but again, not obnoxious loud. I just have the valved IPE and OEM cats and during cold start its pretty loud...a bit too loud for my daily driving and I am glad it calms down after cold start but wakes up when pushing it.

So with my setup the cold start was a bit excessive so I had that tuned out. So the M Engineering tune not only hooked me with power but also valve control and CS delete.

The 600 cell cats are so restrictive so that was my personal first move. Since I was the first one with TFL on my 2022 M3- they hooked me up with this race set up as well on the GTS and I think Im done with exhaust mods LOL.
