^ Pretty judgemental answer, if you ask me. My 992 had a loud exhaust, now my R8 has a loud titanium exhaust. My wife loves it, I got a lot of complements from people about how my 992 sounded (and not from teenagers). And I hear from the dealer that my 992 (with its exhaust) sold to a well-to-do couple that has homes in the US and Mexico and they specifically loved how it sounded.
If my loud exhaust draws sneers from people with your mindset, all I can say is: TOO BAD IT'S NOT LOUDER

My 992 has sports cats with a jcr non silenced and non valved exhaust. Sounds insane turbo whistle, snaps crackles & pops. Gets lots of positive comments.
Sounds so much better than stock.

I had the Soul nonvalved exhaust that came with sport cats. Basically a 3” cannon. No muffler, just an x pipe.
I did get complements from my exhaust.
Looking back, though, I was loathe to admit it during ownership but now that I don’t own the car I have to confess—at low speeds (parking lots, etc) the car kinda sounded like a garbage truck with all of those loud turbo whistles.
It’s not the exhaust—the exhaust was brilliant. It’s just the way the car sounds with that set up. At full throttle it sounded like a proper beast, though
