I really thought about upgrading the Bose but in the end is your source going to be good enough to tell. I mostly listen to Apple Music and Fox sports radio on iHeart and the Bose is good for that.
Ha yea - the wood inlay does seem to draw some opinions.

Good to know about the Bose -

Looks good. I have ACC and it comes in handy in traffic or on a long straight road trip.

I see you went Porsche crest on headrests and center console. Conventional wisdom is one or the other, both is “a lot”…. Kind of puddle projector like…

Lock it in and start obsessively refreshing TYD every hour!

lol I knew it -- ok guess I can live without the center console crest -- but what if I need to be reminded what car I'm driving : )

Full disclosure! My order is due in December so I do not yet have the car. However, the amount of research I did before I decided on Burmester could fill a library and what I really did was state the over-riding consensus.

I received my 992 a few weeks ago - I opted for the Burmester. Note - I havent spent much time listening to the Bose in the 992, but I've listened to many other Bose car audio systems. IMO If you like listening to music while driving (at all), then the Burmester is worth it. I've read plenty of comments about how the car is too loud to hear the stereo so its pointless to pay for the upgrade... this has not been my experience at all.

The Burmester is loud, clear and fantastic.

Nice. Congrats on your new 992. Mind me asking, how long did it take from order to delivery ?

Bose v. Burmeister is an individual decision. If you do not intend on installing sport cats or after market exhaust…ever… than probably a good upgrade. But, if you are going to change the exhaust to improve sound as many on hear do, why pay extra money for better music? Which do you want to hear? Purchase your options/upgrades/mods accordingly. Build you car based on what YOU want, not on what a bunch of people on the internet that you do not know say what they want. I went with Bose contemplating sport cats and catback exhaust. Your decision could be different.

17 months, but with a caveat. My original delivery date was Feb but the car was lost on the felicity Ace. So it should have been 11 months from order to delivery.
