Any thoughts? Color is GT Silver (as is my c2 996). Ive yet to see Gentian Blue or Adventurine green in person so Im leery of going that route with the cognac pepita. I would like to check both colors out, but it would need to wow me to change. Im going with the c2, as you can see the money is in the interior (vs the S which I just dont need).
Great spec - you already know this, but youre going to get killed on resale but that interior is just awesome. If thats what you want, go for it, tomorrow isnt guaranteed. I specced a very similar c2 in GB without the heritage interior and it locked last week.
As far as color, I hadnt seen gentian in person either until the dealer took in a cayman with it. It was stunning. I love blues and Gentian is a fantastic Porsche medium blue. Pictures do not do it justice. If You are even remotely considering it, see if there are any nearby that you can look at. Its a color you need to see in person.
Thanks! I plan to keep this for awhile (its not an investment), you are correct Im not concerned about resale. Ive totally worn out the configurator and lurked on here. I went as high as (bare bones) gts, to C4S, c2s, c4, down to this c2 (not counting used). It all helped me focus on what I really wanted. This cognac/pepita won out, club leather also looks great to me
Think I have about 6 weeks to lock (but Ive read and have been warned by my SA that can be moved up) so its road trip time. Looks like there are a few 2 hrs away. Ive heard that GBlue is great, along with the AGreen, but I need to see them. I wish I could see them with this interior, but its too new (gt silver is in the background of the Porsche ads with this interior)
Anyone with thoughts on Gentian blue vs Adventuring Green with this interior? Im all ears.
Maybe look at the Premium package since you appear to have a few items already in that grouping, however I totally get it if you don't want those other items that are in the package.
Look at the GT steering wheel (I believe they still have the heated option for the GT wheel). I ended up getting (non heated) the GT steering wheels as it is a little bit smaller and sportier and fit what I was looking for in steering wheel "feel". Just a thought.
The PSE in silver - I have that and am always fussing in ensuring the silver tips are clean and not showing water droplets after a wash. If you wash your own car and/or are OCD obsessive over cleaning it, this has proven to be a point of extra attention that I have to keep in mind to spend extra time on. I do like the silver with your build, however, just an observation.
GB is a really awesome color (I'm biased, duh) and would look very nice with that interior, I think.
Who cares about resale? Get the vehicle for you, enjoy it, and sit in that very plush and lovely interior!!
Unfortunately the premium pkg is not compatible with that interior, I would as that would likely lower the cost. I may forgo the sport exhaust, I’ve read on here that may or may not be worth it. Sport Tex roof might make its way on as well.
Part of what I like about GT Silver is it’s easier care, I suspect Adv Green is similar but the blue not so much (I have an older black SL that shows every spec of dust- but when clean it looks awesome). So your comment on the silver PSE gives me pause. I wonder if ceramic coating would help with that?
Gorgeous build. May want to add:
- Roof Transport Prep (if you ever want to mount anything on the roof)
- Porsche crest on the Headrest.
- Colored Porsche crest on wheels.
I couldn't disagree more. That interior is gorgeous and will have zero negative impact on resale.
One thing I'd change is to add that missing third pedal...
I agree with this. I am also waiting on a car w the same interior and if I couldnt get a new one, I would surely pay a lot more for a used one with it. I dont think we are alone on this either. The interior package will likely hold value in my opinion. For those thinking these new msrps are crazy on the c2, look at the used market. This build at 140ish with that hertitage interior is a near bargain when you look around.
to the op, I have a very similar car arriving in November that has already froze. I really like the racetex headliner that I have in my 991.2 so I agree w adding that! I think most of the other differences I have are cosmetic exterior things.
im not a fan of the window trim in silver. I have that on my 991.2 actually and its not for me. Its quite expensive to change later on too. It does have a classic look so I could see it being an addition that would suit some.
Love the interior, just incredible. I would pair it with a darker exterior, that's just me though
a dark green would be so good, but then you are in PTS and up another 11K
Nice build, it makes me feel better about my C2 build that locks in a month as I have it spec'ed to $133k and felt that was too rich for a Base. The old axiom is you don't get any of your options money back especially on a base but not sure that's really true in the new market and with the 992 because the base is a lot more compelling than previous gens due to same engine and widebody.

Gentian Blue was on my short list but it has some purple tones in in the sun which I didnt want. That said, thats my personal pref. It would go great with the Cognac interior you selected.
