what does your TYD say for arrival date at the dealer?

TYD says delivery on Sept 16 in Phoenix and the SA confirmed same date in his system also.

i have 9/16 as the date the ship docks in San Diego.

although the NYK website says it docks 9/4.

TYD shows my 4.0 GTS Boxster on the Cygnus Leader 8.15. The vehicle has been sitting at the port in Germany since 7.8.22.
And, now I see the Cygnus Leader is going to San Diego ... my dealership / home is in Connecticut ! What the hell? Why would
they ship my car to San Diego and then transport it to Connecticut? This is beyond stupid. Shows arrival at the dealership 9.16.22
which I doubt can happen. Why is this vehicle not going to RI ??

Cygnus Leader is supposed to reach San Diego sept 4th. It takes 2 days or so after that for port processing and then it is transport by truck. I understand they had a huge backlog of cars sitting at Emden due to the labor strike and lack of ships. So my guess is they are trying to clear backlog. Cygnus Leader is a NYK vehicle carrier and from what I can tell, the VW group doesn’t use NYK as often as they use PWL carriers.

I just happen to read the forum posts on a daily basis and piecing it together from what I read in the public domain, and hear from SA. I may be dead wrong!

I'm heading to the dealership in Connecticut tomorrow. I'll ask what they know.
Still think it odd Porsche would ship to San Diego and transport across the country
to New England. Sounds expensive ... and, inefficient.
