Aside from that, I do agree that CPO can absolutely be the best choice in many situations and has lots of pro's. I am just not sure "pre-broken in" is one of them.
Ha Ha. I would agree with you until I found the owners name in the car before purchasing since it was a consignment car from my dealer as he purchased his new Cayenne…. 73 years old and this was his 30th Porsche he’s purchased from his salesman. I think I’ve got nothing to worry about and if something happens, CPO will pick up the tab!

here’s the final build code I went with. It’s fairly similar to the first post but a few small swaps. Cost is about the same though

You can’t beat that interior…. Best of luck!

The salesman at the dealership gave me this advice.
Don't put too much money into a base model Carrera.
You're better served by upgrading to a Carrera S if possible.
The resale value will be miles ahead of a base Carrera.
I definitely believe that to be true.

I went bonkers on my Carrera 4S with the final price being $215k.
I actually started out with a base Carrera at around $150-160....so basically in your ball park.
It's a slippery slope.
The ride can be either very bumpy or very enjoyable, depending on how you handle it.

Normal times you are absolutely right. But right now at my dealership I would be 18 months to 2 YEARS before I saw an S. Right now you have to just take whatever allocation you can get and make the most of it.

Completely understand.
You can still build an incredible "base" model Carrera that will make you happy in every way.
If you need more power....there's always M Engineering for a couple of thousand.
