My expensive base build

If you have the money, why not. Not a value proposition, neither is buying a Porsche. I would keep the Burmester if you are into music. IMHO the louder the car, the more you need a stereo that can keep up with the noise without distortion.

I’ll add a little input here as I’ve literally just traded up from a 21 base C2 to a 21 C2S…..
I had the C2 base with 20k in options (premium package, carrera classic wheels, sport exhaust and side skirts) The car was on my dealers lot and I bought it November of 2020. I got to drive it and see what was good and what needed improvement…. Not having the sport chrono was a big mistake along with a few other options. I always thought about modding the base model but in the back of my mind I always thought the S was just that much better.
I have been waiting for a turbo allocation but it’s becoming a pipe dream for me…. My dealer got in a local trade 2021 S with 1300 miles and it was a heavily optioned one with 47k in options and clicked all my boxes including sport pkg (rear steer, sport chrono, pasm and sport exhaust) sport design pkg along with front axel lift, full leather, carbon pkg, etc.
Driving the S this weekend has really showed me what an upgrade between the base and the S really is. It’s truly a different experience and I can only tell you, having an LSD rear with rear steer and the rest of the goodies, changes my experience behind the wheel!
The turbos are more pronounced in the car, the amount of power is totally noticeable and having different sway bars, really makes the car truly feel like a sports car. I can feel a slight difference in the brakes but I haven’t needed to romp on them yet but I will tell you, the color and the size of the calipers really compliment the build.
My advice would be try to find a 21 or 22 S model from a dealer. CPO has more benefits than most realize. Here is what I ended up getting as opposed to waiting for a new one:
-CPO warranty from Porsche 6 year bumper to bumper UNLIMITED MILES!
-Car had full PPF
-Car was ceramic coated
-Tinted windows
-The original owner had broken it in for me!
My build was 162k on the sticker and I paid 164k……. PPF, tint and ceramic alone would have set me back 7k!
Now that the weather is changing, I guarantee you’ll see a lot more cars coming available and dealers will be eager to work with people as the year comes to a close.
Best of luck OP!

Appreciate everyone’s response and time. Feel free to talk about the build but mine has froze so I’ll let you all see it when I get it! Hopefully November
personally I love the heritage interior. It’s something I wouldn’t want to miss out on. Therefore ordering a car is my best bet. The base is the allocation I could get and as I said above, I have a 991.2 c2 currently and it’s more than enough for the street.

I'll bet they did. The question is HOW?
Aside from that, I do agree that CPO can absolutely be the best choice in many situations and has lots of pro's. I am just not sure "pre-broken in" is one of them.

here’s the final build code I went with. It’s fairly similar to the first post but a few small swaps. Cost is about the same though

I think thats AWESOME. I'd rather have that one than a 154k S. True 1 of 1.

thanks I agree! When I check used 992 they are still over sticker and quite expensive. This isn’t that much more and surely that interior package will hold value in the future. And if not, it will hold value for me while I own it!

+1 - nice to see you buy a car for you to enjoy and not for what it may be valued at by others down the road. Good for you! I would drop $15k if I could get the entire heritage package aftermarket...

Very nice build! Congrats.
I have a similar config coming in March

And I would add a few things. First, a lot of people complain about the price of the heritage interior. Before it was available,
my build was Truffle Brown, heated and ventilated seats, seat backs in leather, Porsche badge on seats and armrest, and
Paldao Wood. When added up, the difference was about 3–4k extra for the Heritage, which was a no brainer for me, considering
how it looks. If it holds value better in time, even better.
Also, I had contracted a Carrera S at first, but it kept being delayed until the dealer said it will come in 2024, and gave me the option
to select between a base and a 4S. After test driving a 4,4S and a GTS, I decided on not waiting, and going with the base, as it was
a lot cheaper (13.000€), and I also got a small discount (5%) because they forced me to change. So, the whole thing came around
20k cheaper, which is not insignificant. The 4S was 27k more expensive than my build.

Its a great build with what I consider the best interior you can option on a 911 today. I always over option my cars and have never once regretted it. That interior, although pricey to add, will make the car feel special every time you get in it. Can't wait to see delivery pics.
