Default Electric Steering Column Status??

My 992 base cab is due to arrive in about 3 weeks and my SA says it "may" have electronic steering adjustment. I haven't received anything from Porsche offering any sort of credit so I'm thinking perhaps it may have the electronic steering column. Any recent arrivals delivered with/without esc? For those that got compensation from Porsche for no esc, how long before delivery did communication from Porsche occur? Tia.

Even if you receive a credit, your car may have electric steering column. No one knows anything until the car arrives at the dealership.

I understand final answer on with/without esc won't be known prior to delivery. Was hoping to get some insight on esc inclusion from folks who have recently taken delivery. For those who didn’t get esc when they were supposed to, how far in advance of delivery did they receive communication from P re compensation

Zero communication in advance, car arrived a year ago and notification of refund came 2 months ago, no refund as of yet. $1000 was the communicated amount.

Friend in the UK collected his car last Friday and no electric steering column. Got a £360 refund.

Last I heard...the option was deleted indefinitely across all 911 models until further notice?

For the 2023 MY 911 cars only the Turbo, Turbo S, Sport Classic, and 50 years Porsche Design Edition with either 14 or 18-way adjustable seats will be getting the electronic steering column. All the other trims will get the manual-adjusting steering column. Porsche is blaming the chip shortage. Not the end of the world. Is what it is.

From what I can tell, only the top tier trim levels across the range will get the electric steering column for the foreseeable future.

Car at dealer and confirmed did not have electric steering wheel adjustment. Premium package, CS4, with 18 way Sport Seats. Dealer has no idea of rebate or status. Called PCNA to review status and potential rebate. Person on the phone took my information commenting PCNA system is down, and information not available at this time. PCNA would get back to me.

Just wait, in 2024 it'll be an option you can tick for $1,200.

Lightweight steering column

PCNA responded back. They are to send me an email with the group contact that is working on the reimbursements. TDB.
