I'm almost a year into my replacement windshield and no wind noise or water leaks.

Same here, before it was replaced.

My 2020 S December 2019 delivery has the same issue. I also noticed the black slime after a wash. I'll roll by the dealer to see if they will replace. Thanks for the post.

Same issue on mine, 2020 C2. Glad I saw this thread, will def take care of this before my warranty is up. I have my front windshield tinted so I guess I’ll need that redone. Oof.

OP here. My 2020 C2S was a February, 2020 delivery--looks like Porsche had a real problem with this around that time. I am currently on ignore mode from my dealer and ready to escalate to PCNA. Please post your experiences.

I have a 2020 C4S and My SA told me in October 2021 he has changed 7 to 8 already. I waited 4 weeks for the wind shield to arrive from Germany. Hopefully your dealer changes it out with out any problems.

The car (2020 C2S with about 7,500 miles) is always hand washed by me with proper soap (car was ceramic coated from jumpstart) and no harsh chemicals. Anyone else experiencing this problem? I wonder if it has anything to do with the intense heat we've been experiencing here lately in Houston, although the car is always garaged and doesn't spend a lot of time baking in the sun. I'll be taking it to the dealer to check out--looks like the windshield will have to come out to replace it (groan).
My car has the exact same issue. The last few weeks every time I get in I have smeared black crap on my left hand as I grab the windshield pillar when I get in. It's quite annoying.

I just got home from my dealer. Porsche of Littleton, Colorado. The Service Manager has never seen this before. He's researching it and will get back to me. A list of dealers replacing under warranty might help. Thank you.

it took about a month for the dealer to obtain the windshield. Picked it up today. All looks good. They kept it and extra day to calibrate the windshield. Does anyone know what they are calibrating?

Makes sense now. Just had the windshield replaced under warranty for a distortion in the glass. The weatherstrip is a different material. More like a foam vs rubber material. Curious about the back glass? It has the same type of weatherstrip as the original glass.

My rear glass has a small section that is deteriorating just like the windshield--will probably have to replace both. Good to hear that Porsche has finally changed to a different material to seal these.
