Default Racing yellow deviated stitching now longer an option?

I went into the configurator today to prep for my upcoming allocation. But I was greeted with a weird message:

Then the configurator made me choose a new stitching color:

The weird thing is that "Racing yellow" is the only yellow color option for the seatbelts...speed yellow isn't an option. So now you have mismatched yellows for interior combinations.

This is driving me crazy, my builds were based on matching racing yellow interiors.

Can anyone else check to confirm? Are you all seeing what I'm seeing?

Definitely worth getting to the bottom of it. The combo is fantastic

Pictures don't do it justice either

Interesting. Funny enough, I have racing yellow deviated stitching on my build, it was supposed to start production today and now it's been delayed for 2 weeks. I wonder if it's related or just a coincidence.

I had a Targa4GTS on order, starting production in mid July with racing yellow stitching, racing yellow seatbelts, tachometer etc
my SA told me it’s not available, so I switched to Speed yellow stitching instead.
Hopefully the difference in yellow won’t be that bad.

That's what I'm thinking... that you won't be able to tell the difference at the scale of the stitching.

Having seen both, I prefer the racing yellow stitching over speed yellow. Racing yellow is a bit darker/brighter. Speed Yellow, from a distance looks a bit faded, it could almost appear to be chalk in certain light. I really hope this is just a temporary issue.

Why in the world would they do this? It's bizarre to get rid of the only stitch color that matches everything else...belts, tach, chrono, paint. You have dozens of PTS colors, but you remove a stitching option?

It's killed my spec IMO.

not sure what Speed Yellow looks like but here's a photo of my interior with Racing Yellow seat belts and stitching. As suggested by jjaisli it is a bright color and really pops.

Right. I like that and it look great. But racing yellow stitching in now no longer an option.

Someone in another thread stated it was a result of a dye shortage.

Thanks. Could you point me to that thread?

Edit: found it: https://rennlist.com/forums/992-gt3-and-gt2rs-forum/1295743-gt3-production-delays-25.html#post18233173

Porsche is still producing MY2022 cars though. I wonder if the absence of Racing Yellow on the configurator is for MY2023 cars. I've already made several compromises to my build (Aerokit, PCB (apparently the electric steering column). It's kind of aggravating to have this thrown down now at the 11th hour. If indeed this is the problem and the delay is unrelated.

I also have that combo on my build and have been told by the dealer that I need to switch prior to my freeze date next week. Was Told they ran out of the dye for racing yellow. It will now completely change my build and not very happy about it.

I noticed that Racing Yellow stitching is available on the configuration for the GT3?
