Has anyone found a way to mount the Porsche Dashcam without attaching the bracket to the windshield? I want a solution that avoids attaching anything to the windshield.
I found it on Amazon and used it to depict the concept
if I were to use a mirror mount for both radar detector and dash cam I would mount the camera between the mirror and the detector and fabricate a plate secured to the mount which would allow the dash cam cradle to be secured

Did anyone upgrade the micro SD card for the dash cam to get more capacity? What’s the largest capacity it can use?
Looks like it comes with a 32 GB card. Suncoast sells a 64 GB for $88 which is insane. I’d expect any standard micro SD card will work. I’m thinking of getting 128 GB.
I want to self install the front and rear dash cams to my new 992 MY23 Turbo S which here in the UK came with the pre-wiring as standard.
I've seen the photos showing the locations of the power and video connectors my only questions are how to go about removing the trim panels. C Pillar - Schwarz992C4S describes the removal of the Aft panel first followed by the C Pillar trim but I still don't fully understand the description for the procedure can you be a bit more precise as I don't want to break anything? Do I have to remove the carpet on the area in front of the Aft trim panel first or just grab the bottom of it and lift up and pull back?
Overhead Console - Again I understand a couple of Torx screws need to be removed but how do I get access to them, the small grilles are shown hanging down, are they just clipped in position with a tether to stop them coming right off and how do I release the clips that hold them in place and then how do I remove the large cover that is in front above the mirror as the edge of this needs to be filed to go over the cable from the front dash cam?

I was able to upgrade the SD card to 256 GB as 512 GB didn't work.
It's not hard and any dealer can do it... even without experience. Mine was the first the dealer installed also and it was a piece of cake.
Exactly. Make sure they have the TSB on the installation otherwise they might think they have to charge you for 10 hours of labor--it should only take an hour or two! 1.1 hours for cabriolet (front only), 1.9 hours for couple (front and rear) according to the TSB.
You are correct green is switched 12v and black is ground.
I used the same 12v to 5v converter- works well - when I installed a 70Mai dash cam.
I originally used the Porsche harness u plan to use, but I found a connector with wire taps already connected on eBay, which is inexpensive and more compact
i suggest you buy this, about $8 - u can PM me if u wish for more info
Thanks for sharing the detailed instructions and that Ebay listing @audi4t - was able to hardwire my Uniden R7 to switched power using the front dashcam prep outlet! I want to note that the wire colors on your Ebay harness pinout weren't accurate for me (each individual unit probably has different arbitrary wire colors), but of course the positions were correct; I'd guide others to rely on positions and not wire colors. Pardon the blurry pictures:
