Default Fewer Manual Choices for Aussies / LHD In Configurator

I was reading the article below from Drive Australia and a Porsche rep mentioned manuals are only available on GT3 and GTS' (for 911s) And sure enough if you configure a 911 S PDK is the only option, unlike the U.S. I wonder if the manual is available on S' in other countries.

Also, the configurator shows the interior as Left Hand Drive despite the fact that Oz is an RHD country. Any Aussies in the forum that can comment?

UK is RHD too and also gets the steering wheel on the left in the configurator. UK gets PDK only on the carrera and a choice of manual or PDK on carrera S and GTS.

It's probably their left not your left, so it may be correct

I hadn’t noticed the LHD thing on the configurator before but yes, in Australia and New Zealand (same distributor) if you want a manual you need to buy a GTS or GT3. Local decision as I understand it, made by Porsche Australia.

It’s the same in New Zealand.

Only GT3, GT3T, and GTS can be had with a manual. C2S can’t.

Im waiting for confirmation the Carrera T will be manual in NZ - am told very likely - and so will order one.

Canada has manual in the S variant. Would suck to have up to the GTS just to get a manual. I was already a little peeved that the base model was unavailable with manual.
