Congratulations to the OP!. But he did bring a McLaren to the table and I'm sure that helped his cause quite a bit!

Very cool indeed. Looks so cool.

So the color of the red..that is not Bordeaux red? I have an s cab in production and I chose Bordeaux/black interior so trying to see what your interior is so I can visualize my build.

Love that red interior! Great spec all around! Chalk w/ high gloss black works so well. Aerokit would’ve put it over the top!

I believe the OP posted his enviable good luck elsewhere as well. There and here my thought and comment on this "Guards Red" interior is that it is incorrectly named. IMHO the proper name for this color interior is: "Arrest-Me-Red".

Great looking build, and congrats! Nicely spec'd! When I saw the interior - I thought wow what a good camera, that Bourdeaux interior looks a little more red than most pictures... Then I re-read, and see it is guards red (and the 930 package) - that is the first I have seen of the 992's with Guards Red! Nice 1 of 1 build! It really pops!

Just curious - I assume you didn't have to pay over MSRP? Also as a Mac Owner, curious did they treat you well on the trade-in?

PS. You should have the dealer service department check the wing, looks like it is stuck in the up position

The recently updated configurator does not have Guards Red as a choice with the 930 package.
I gather this is a change which will make the OPs car even more special.

Apparently I walked in right at the time they were entering the gifted allocations into the system. I had to purchase the GTS right there on the spot. To my surprise the sales person said that the car would arrive in a week or so.

I finally picked it up yesterday and is stunning. It has a lot of the boxes checked that I wanted and more, like the Exclusive Manufactur interior, the Burmeister Sound, and the 7 speed manual.

And I have never even sat inside of a Porsche before, not alone drive it. I traded my 2019 McLaren 570s and I wanted to try the 911. So I am loving the very few miles I have put in so far... Can't wait for the weekend to drive a lot more.

Wow Factor... 10

Nice.

Very interested in your comparison to your 570 after you get some seat time.

It looks like when you add the Exclusive Manufaktur Leather Interior in Guards Red, the 930 package is included. It does not check the 930 box, but the configurator shows the 930 package door panels and seats. Weird.

Also, this is a ridiculously beautiful car. Congrats to OP!

I too am very interested in your comparison. I am also trading in a 2019 570s. If all goes well I am going to pick my 992 GTS in Leipzig this October. After driving the 570s for the last 3 years I was concerned about the drop in horsepower. I drove a 992 base and it was very noticeable. I know Porsche under states their 0-60 times so my main hope is it feels similarly as fast. I opted for the manual so for me it isn't actually the 0-60 time but how fast the car feels. I don't think I am going to be disappointed but your take on the two would be very much appreciated.

Congrats O.P.!!! I wonder how long it’ll take them to sell that McLaren.
