I will reserve judgment until I drive it. But, I do not consider the addition of a GPF an upgrade at all. I also thought my 991.1S was an improvement over my 997.2S in every category except engine access.

OMG!
Never buy the first year version of the 992.1 because you'll just be a beta tester.
Never buy the 992.1 near the end of the cycle because it will be quickly outdated by the 992.2
Never buy the first year version of the 992.2 because you'll just be a beta tester....
Never buy a GTS! The GTS is just a gimmick marketed to morons
And then if ignore all the above and you actually do buy a car, you shouldn't drive it because you may get a scratch and then the value will be diminished.
And make sure you get a sunroof, the RAS, the FAL, and the Sport Chrono because those will all increase resale value. Oh! and PSE! You'd never be able to sell a Porsche without PSE.

How does anyone sleep at night?

Basically just buy a GT3 or Turbo S.
