Atop Mt. Washington, New Hampshire. 6288' up an 8 mile winding 1 1/2 lane road (in parts). Base elevation is 1565'. The car didn't actually summit since the parking lot isn't at the tippy top. Up the steep staircase we went to the gift shop and post office. We went on "navigator's day off" during the recent Treffen Omni Mt. Washington. It was a terrific event with weather to match.
