PCM blanked out
My PCM blanked out today. First time ever after over 10k miles driving.
Anyone had this happen?
Is this a sign that its time to trade in my car?
Im not going to deal with delays, fixes, etc. Ill just get rid of the car if this is going to be a headache for me

Hold the phone brother!
Don't junk the car or sell it, it's tech and can happen from time to time. If it continually happens it may need an update

I got ahead of myself there, I think I was influenced by the thread from the guy whos instrument cluster went black and it ended up being a huge headache for him.

^ I tried that at first with the car locked for a few minutes and it didnt work.
I think the car needs to be locked for a bit longer. Maybe 10 minutes? Perhaps it doesnt go into full reboot mode until then?

Mine rebooted for the first time yesterday. As I was driving, using apple CarPlay, the screen went black for several seconds and then came back on and continued playing CarPlay. After about 5 minutes, it blacked out again. This second time, CarPlay was no longer an option on the menu. When I got home, I parked, unlocked, and came back a couple hours later and it worked fine

I see a common theme of Carplay with this issue.
I wonder if I accidently somehow activated Carplay and that's why this happened.
I stopped using Carplay with this car about a year ago...

Just to add this for the record, mine did this today at about 28k miles for the first time. PCA screen went black, was playing SiriusXM which stopped, had CarPlay active but not connected yet. After about 3-4 minutes the PCM started back up (rebooted), all by it self. So far, hasn't happened again.
