2021 911 Turbo Battery
I am in need of a new LION battery for my 2021 911 Turbo Cab with rear wheel steering due to internal Battery sensor damage (according to local Canadian dealership)
The number on the battery is 9YO.915.107.H. I am told they are back ordered up to a year so my car, with only 2800Km on it, sits and patiently waits.
So far the car starts and runs but have the low battery warning on the dash. I’m reluctant to drive it too far for fear of being stranded.
I am hoping for assistance in either locating a new one within the USA or the possibility of a rebuild of the battery management system should that be a possibility.
Any thoughts?

Unfortunately you will have to get a porsche battery, they have a proprietary BMS that other LiPo's cannot (at this point) replicate and work. Those of us that have LiPo and a problem, are stuck waiting on porsche for a replacement. Fortunately I have had 2 992 with LiPo's (both have had RWS) - I have had no issues. There are a few threads on this, would be worth reading if you have some time on the issues with trying to replace the porsche specific LiPo..

i am having the exact same problem. Battery is fine, starts up no issues, always shows full voltage but am getting the low battery warning. I've been driving it around for a month with this error (started at about 1700 miles on the odometer, currently at 2050), no issues. Dealer said the sensor is bad and battery needs to be replaced. No ETA on when they can get a new one.

Let me tell you; if my Battery goes and the car is stranded for more than few months( even 1 month) that car will be lemoned and Porsche can take it back and give me a full refund. I would Lawyer up right now.
NFW would I accept waiting for months for them to manufacture a battery

20 or so years ago when I lived in Chicago I had a VW GTI and one day my window literally dropped down due to a bad window regulator. They had the part nowhere and it was going to be months. VW on their own via the regional rep took the car and gave me a new Jetta VR6. I just paid the difference in sticker price.
now the Jetta was a whole other story. The infamous Airbag light. I went in 6 different times for the airbag light going on and they could never fix it for more than a month. By this time I lived in CA and their process for lemon was 30 days out of service or 3 attempts. I had no real desire to go through it and just wanted my car to be ok. So I went through the BBB which is what CA required and made my complaint. VW countered that it was now fixed and would never happen again and extended my warranty a year. I was fine with that. 2 months later the airbag light goes on again. So I reach out to the BBB and they get VW to pay me back the original purchase price plus tax even though the car had 25k miles.
all done without a lawyer.

…and to think Porsche is a “subsidiary” of VW.
I don’t get warm feelings.

You do, it's the wetting yourself in a dark suit, it gives you a warm feeling but no one notices ...

These are normally shipped by truck or rail so getting it to anywhere West might take a few days.
Another wild thought, is there anyway to test these "available" batteries if they've been on a shelf for a while (meaning hardware and harness/software)? Be real dumb to end up shipping this and the thing is a dud...
