That said, I'm that guy all the time. If I'm worried a lot will fill up I'll park one space away from somebody. People will take any spot that isn't between two others so you basically guarantee one side stays empty in that situation. Its a smart move.
bingo. In the end I found it rather amusing that someone would park close to me when there were 50 or so other spots. From afar it literally looked like he was in the spot next to me thus I took the pic. Guess some of you might be that guy who shoulders up to you at the urinal!😆

The Accord guy appreciates seeing a Porsche and pulled closer for a look. The fact that he left an open space shows that he is aware of the reason you parked so far away. No big deal. Wait till you come out and find people leaning on your car for pictures to post to their friends....

AGREED! I've always said if you can't afford to fix it or are too worried it will get damaged, you shouldn't be driving it. Flame suit on . . . .

Agreed with this. This driver is rude and disrespectful. Terrible.

This entire thread has been amusing to read, watching people get up in arms over nothing.

well I can’t speak for him but I don’t really want any of my cars, never mind my turbo S to get damaged or door dings or anything for the most part. I’m still going to drive it really hard and have fun but if it does get damaged I’m going to fix it and that’s an expense I would like to avoid if possible. I think my stance on this is reasonable especially for such an expensive asset like an automobile. Any automobile.

Agreed! There’s nothing wrong with taking pride in keeping things you’ve acquired in good condition. Door dings, scratches, etc. are annoyances, and they become even more annoying when somebody else is responsible. It’s one thing to mess something up yourself. It’s another thing entirely for somebody else to be responsible for damaging your property.

And of course we're not immune in Alaska 180 miles from the arctic circle where parking is at a premium on Friday in the Goldstream Valley...

Come early free parking!

It’s just a car. Here I am parked at a soccer tournament. I let my son wear cleats in it. These cars are a lot more fun when you are less uptight about things like parking.

You miss the irony. Your parking lot is full, in my image, there's enough spare places for 300+ cars... I mean other than next to mine...
