I was interested in paddle extensions, and found these new (for the 992) from DSG. It was the only pair of red carbon they had at the time, but supposedly they have black carbon available? From the driver perspective, they don't obstruct anything (the picture makes it look like they do, but they don't). They work great for my admittedly lazy and often misplaced hands. I thought a red accent would be nice (like the calipers) - but this feels like a bit much. Thoughts?

The Porsche paddles are pretty perfect as-is when it comes to balance and feel. Larger paddles are typically part of a column mounted set up. If you have wheel mounted paddles this large, you'll quickly find yourself frustrated with limited access to your blinker and wiper controls.
Jimmy thank you for the honest feedback. I thought the rat would complement the car in the same way the red calipers did, but I think I agree with you the black might have been better. These paddles allegedly fit all 992 variants. They take away a little bit of the Visual real estate of the dash, but at least for me they do not obscure my access to other controls.
Can you take a picture of your interior in general? Do you have any other obvious red pieces or trims in the interior? I'll be honest... from your pic it looks like some kid ordered some paddles off ebay and double-sided taped them to the paddles in his riced out Honda Civic. lol Are you actually engaging the shift paddles that high or low on them?
For me- The Stock paddles are too small and when you turn becomes a problem changing gears.
I just ordered the last CF set that Suncoast had.
Suncoast? I could never find them on Suncoast??
They got them back in stock a couple weeks ago and they sold them all but I called them yesterday and they had (1) more set left. They are made for the 992. The code is "PK992CFP"
I am sure they will get more in stock but they sell fast.
I actually have no issues with the paddle size. Would it be nice if they were a bit longer? Sure, but for me its not worth the trade off of even more limited visibility of the dash/gauges. Clearly a personal preference thing - among many.
