Default 2022 Carrera Base

Excited to introduce the new toy for the garage.
It probably won't excite many as it is a base however its the one that fit my situation.
Ok, a little about her:
Sport Chrono- a must
Sport Exhaust- a must
PDL lights
Bose
14 way seats
Sunroof
Spyder wheels
Wish it had the side skirts. Not too hard to add. Liked to have had full leather. I think a few leather items can be added?? Anyone on that one?
Not a lot of 911's to choose from and all Nor Cal dealers want 10% ADM when ordering.
So far with 80 miles on it, its perfect for me.
Started looking three months ago for a 991.1, then researched made me pick a 991.2. I test drove all three and to me, the 992 is hands down the best ride, power, and style.

Nothing wrong with the base, most owners won't even touch the limits of this car - especially on public roads.

Congrats! Really excited to see your pics because I also have a GR base model on order. Mine gets here in September. Seeing your pics re-affirms my color selection. That GR just looks SO good.

Very nice but I have the Spyder wheels and hate them. They collect brake dust and after a few days driving make the whole car look dirty.

Like I've posted in many other threads, purchase yourself some "Iron Off" and make your life easier. It does 95% of the work for you. Spray it on, let it sit for 5-7 minutes, high pressure rinse.........and viola!!!! Clean wheels!

I am trying to decide the best approach on keeping the wheels nice. Anyone ceramic coat their wheels? Does it help?
Thank you,

Yes! Ceramic coat or use what I suggested. Those are your two best options.

Thank you,
I did ceramic on my RS Spyder Design wheels. It made clean up a very simple affair. I never had to use any harsh wheel cleaner. 👍

Thank you,
I pressure wash mine maybe twice a week and they look like new - no coating / no problem then wipe down with a towel

Also keeps the wheel well liners clean and minimizes road tar build up !!!!

Congrats on your new ride. I also have a base Carrera that I'm hoping to be built in the next couple of weeks. Yours has a similar set of options to my configuration. Enjoy all the miles in your new toy...and to tag on to what another poster said...the base is definitely enough car for most drivers. I'm also in the NorCal area - i luckily found a dealer that didn't charge me ADM. Funny how a couple years ago if we paid MSRP we'd feel like we didn't get a good deal. How times have changed!
