Porsche Livermore. On several visits to kick tires and ask questions about the whole ordering process (first time Porsche buyer), they always brought up that they were charging a $10k ADM. However, when I went in late Dec '21 I placed an order demand and as I was walking back to my car, my SA came running out to tell me he talked to his finance manager and they would drop the ADM. I said great, we shook hands and a week later my SA called to say they got 2 allocations for a base C2 and did I want to proceed. Made my way down to the dealership as quick as I could, gave him my $5k deposit and he placed the order for my build. Compared to what I've read from other posters, my experience couldn't have been better - especially for a first time buyer. The hardest part has been the wait. My production date is 4/29 with a build date of 5/6 and a delivery date estimated to be mid-July.

Have identical car but with carrera classic wheels and absolutely ceramic coat your wheels. It makes a huge difference on anything sticking to the wheels in the first place and cleaning is much easier.

If you’re not getting a manual then the base is the way to go!👍🏻

Don’t degrade your ride. Despite all the blustering, all the 992s are essentially the same in delivering fun. And they all look the same inside and out. No one really cares what version you have, certainly not me. Enjoy it with pride. I am sure you earned it.

Got my first 911, a 2022 992 Base C4 in 11/21. It was the only slot available I could find in the NYC area in summer of 2021 when I was looking for a 911 and "luckily" got it at MSRP, Love the car, has plenty of power for me (no track for me just the street). Base interior, SC, 14-ways seats super comfortable and plenty of other options (use FAL frequently as I live in a hilly area). I did ceramic coat my Carrera Classic wheels a(long with the entire car) and they stay clean, My only regret has been I wished I got a 911 years ago! Car makes me smile when I drive it.

I love the colors. My 1st Porsche was a 2006 base Boxster. GR, aka Arrest Me Red, with beige interior. Loved the car. Current ride is a base 2020 992. Plenty of car for me. Have lots of fun. Congrats.

I actually prefer the base 992 as a daily driver vs S/GTS. Nice pickup, great classic Porsche colors. Enjoy.
