Default SPASM frontlip conversion to standard 992

Hi 992 lovers

i intend to change my 992 Carrera front lip to the SPASM front lip of the GTS models.
but I have the standard bumper, not the sport bumper ( see pic )
Does anyone of you did that before? is it a plug and play thing?

the pic is not my car, but the front lip is what I want, I like it more than the standard lip of the 992 Carrera.

thanks for any kind of info

Ralph

The SPASM front lip from the GTS model is the same as the Sport Design front lip, only it is unpainted. That lip will not be compatible with your standard bumper. There is a SPASM lip for your front bumper that is a tad bit more aggressive in profile, but it is not the same as the Sport Design/GTS front lip. The part numbers are posted here on the forum in one of the front lip threads. If you search you will find the information you're looking for.

People aren't necessarily going to do the work for you. Just search "SPASM front lip", "Sport Design front lip", etc. The threads will pop up and you'll have to read through them to find the part numbers.

Pic is my old car. Now, in the care of @DButcher . 👍

Yes, it’s an easy install, but if your car doesn’t have SPASM, there are reports of issues at speed. For most folks that isn’t an issue, but I am the cautious type when it comes to aero.

thats the part, installed this weekend 15-20 minutes top...6 hex screws, hardest part was getting the original lip out as the clips hold it in really well (the screws are probably overkill)

I got mine from suncoast for standard front bumper. Nice little upgrade in my mind. Easy to install. Waiting now on GT3 side skirts.

If his was a SPASM car it would’ve already come with the sportier front lip for the base bumper.

I already provided you the link to the part number in post #6.

Ha, I was going to say I thought that was your pic. The front lip makes such a huge difference when you compare to seeing one without it.
