@hawkinsmc how did you decide what you were going to PPF? I was originally thinking full front with A pillars. Then I talked to a few shops and they pointed out the side skirts and lower doors, then the wide body rear wheels I was told are chip magnets, lastly some areas on the rear bumper.

I’ve got it planned for full right now after thinking about all those areas, I figured it made sense to just have it all done. This is my first 911 so May be over protective as I don’t actually know where this car takes most of the damage like with some other vehicles.

@Swayze I always focus on the "leading edges" so I do the front of the car to the doors, A pillars, and the portion between the windshield and the sunroof (I won't do that area this time cause I have the CF roof and no natural brake to end the PPF, I don't want a line there). I also do the side skirts/ door sills as they can get scuffed from getting in and out, and under the door handle (look at that area on a car unprotected, finger nails do a number on it). It already has the rock guards stock but if you want to be extra careful you can replace that with a larger piece. I don't see any point in doing the rear as you are never taking on rocks in the back or getting in a trunk (I do the rear top or the bumper in my Cayenne)

As great as the PPF is I don't think it is as good as the paint in shine and depth so I would rather not do the whole car. I know some do and I can appreciate it if you that's what you want to do. I just Ceramic the rest and this time i'm gonna ceramic over the PPF, so we'll see how that works out as i've never done it. I'm really particular about all my cars and would wrap them in a force field if I could. But I also love to drive them and that's what I do. This is my 3rd 911 and I accept that stuff happens so I try not to get too upset if i do see a small chip or scuff. I do get the tire and wheel protection as one wrong step with a CL wheel needing to be replaced will cover that fee. Protect what you can and enjoy the drive, don't be so afraid that you can't enjoy it!

Looks great! Btw does your GTS need the FAL in order to not scrape the front at that driveway? My garage has a similar-looking driveway slope.

Love it! This build looks nearly identical to my #2. There was a lot of back and forth between chalk and black, but ultimately I decided on black.

I got the wheel & tire warranty due to centerlock costs as well. I have a very similar approach to my cars and wanting them in a force field but realizing they are meant to be enjoyed.

I’d like to do the PPF as you described that you normally do, but was just worried that with so much film, the paint may look slightly off where it’s ceramic vs film. So that’s why I was thinking full wrap, but it may not be a real concern and I’m overthinking it.

It’s Black/Bordeaux - so a deeper red the Guards. It comes with contrast stitching which I really like and helps to break up the cabin.

Did any owners go with the Standard GTS interior? That's what I have spec'd on mine so far but have some time before the build locks. Any pics would be appreciated! Congrats to everyone that received their GTS already.

That is why I ordered FAL, I'm not going to test not using it getting in/out of my driveway. ;-)

I did, and they just finished production today. It should be at my dealer by 5/27.
