Quick update. Shockingly, TYD has my car on the Glovis Supreme, which is making its way through the English Channel as we speak.

Basically it is more "sportier" than C2S. Spikier. Aggressive, especially RWD. I didn't have any problems side-kicking (power sliding) my previous 992C2S, but with GTS; hm... I've already curbed the wheel after 180°spin. More torque, itchy gas pedal, turbos; it is quite a beast to handle. I don't think you'd ever want more power than that. And this coming from tuned M3F80 owner with 550+HP. That BMW had no traction, more power and was still easier to drive like a hoon. GTS is more like a race-car, you have to be more precise, doesn't like bullying around at slower speeds. You just have to be much faster on the road and than quicker with the steering, there is less margin of error. It is more demanding car than C2S, you have to be on the top of it.

And that's one of the reasons why I changed my C2S for GTS. I got bored after 10.000km.... I'm still learning and getting to know the GTS, after 2.000km it still feels new and unexploited to me. And this is the essence of sportscar, right? Every drive has to be an event, you have to find out something new (like curbed tire ), you have to unveil another chapter every coupe of kilometres. Lol, I still didn't try launch control yet...
Good info, “hard to handle” sound like way more than the extra 30hp advertised. Do you think this characteristic is due exclusively to the extra power or maybe a combination of
power with different tuning of the traction control/throttle mapping?

edit: never mind- I read your first post…

After 50 cars in 20 years, this is the first time Im truly going to track a car on a boat

Its like daily watching one's 401k but things are only getting better.

I am guessing there are a bunch of GTS models on the Glovis Supreme. Like you, I check the ships progress daily. It's actually interesting to poke around the vessel tracker site.

Great pic and congrats on the new 911. With that said, please let your tires warm up before getting on it and leave your traction control fully on. If not for yourself at least for everyone else you're sharing the roads with.

A fellow lower mainlander! If you don’t mind me asking how long did it take from deposit to allocation to anticipated delivery?

For those waiting for their GTS you are not going to be disappointed. I have had mine for less than a week and it is a blast. Exhaust sounds really good and was surprised for it being a Turbo. The car has quite a bit of torque that comes on at about 2000 rpms so you never feel any Turbo lag. Porsche really has the GTS dialed in and so glad I waited for the GTS and skipped the C2S although I am sure that is no slouch either.

Good luck to all- worth the wait. I will also say that this GTS is really a dual treat. Every one used to say the the GT3 is a great Daily and weekend warrior. I have had 2 GT3s and far from the truth. Was never fun to Daily drive but was a great weekend warrior. This car is 2 cars in one. You will see

Nice! How do you find the ride quality, btw - a bit too crashy or tolerable?

Default Arrived at Emden

Got an email that’s said my car has finished production. Next milestone is arrival at Emden - to be completed two days ago (?). Anyway, here’s the production pic everyone shares - it’s getting rather exciting!

Okay- I know this is a very Personal thing. I found my 2018 GT3 to be very tolerable. Interesting enough, I find it to be very similar in Normal mode. Not crashy at all and eats of bumps pretty good. But it is certainly buttoned down like my GT3. I also find the steering to be very similar but maybe, just slightly, and I mean slightly quicker but not better nor worse
