I got phone call from my Porsche centre saying PDCC should be treated as unavailable for the foreseeable on all models.

I have a GTS with RAL on order. As I only have owned an air cooled 911 so far, I don’t see that I’ll miss out on something I’ve never had.
Theres a lot of mixed views on it in any case

Only issue is the effect that not having PDCC might have in resale down the line. I’d have happily paid for it now.

So you’re not getting PDCC either on your GTS? I wonder if they will bring back at some point.

Yep, not getting PDCC. I only put the deposit in last week.
Im sure they’ll bring it back when the issues are resolved.

Part of me feels that I should hold off until it is available. But there will be many people doing that. On top of the fact that 1100 Porsches sank on that ship, which adds an additional 1100 cars to the build slots.

I wonder how much more delayed my build will be with them having to rebuild 1100 cars. I hope they unfreeze my freeze point which is not passed (then I could PDCC if I'm lucky). 1100 cars need to rebuild + Ukraine + supply chain shortages seems like that could be a possibility.

Ugh. Not looking good for me. Although I was already in production so maybe. Or it means I am stuck in Porsche-gatory.

I have a turbo with S-PASM, RAS and no PDCC.

Handles incredibly and love feeling the small changes in weight transfer...just a touch of old school. Added PSC2 for the track...bam.

Not sure what Im missing without PDCC, but it never feels like im missing something. No regrets.

That message is on my TYD as of the last day or two. My freeze point was end of Jan.

I have PDCC spec'd, and haven't heard anything from my dealer about that being pulled.

Was your order in at the time of this call? What stage were you in?

@rhr992c4s , Do I get notified when/if it get unfrozen? Is that common with this environment? Seems like it's in their better interest to not unfreeze me, but just push out the production/ delivery date.

No way they’re making Turbo S’s without PDCC.

I suspect, however, that you are correct re: Carrera models.

No sense in worrying about what you can’t control. You’re going to love your car regardless.

Yes, Rk-d is correct. It is unavailable on all models where it is optional, same as PCCB. For models where it is standard, Porsche is prioritizing parts supply to those models. My TTS is scheduled to be built 2nd week of April and still appears on schedule.

PDCC is standard with some cars?
How much day do I need to get unfrozen?

PCCB too? So only the Turbo S variants across the range and Cayenne GT will have PCCBs.

PDCC is only standard on the 992 Turbo S. So that will be the only car that gets it moving forward, I guess. Crazy.

Once you're past the lock point, then that's it. There are random people who have reported getting their build unlocked by PAG/PCNA but those are few and far between and often extraordinary circumstances. Not the norm. Your configuration is locked and there is basically no changing it.
