OK, This is starting to get out of hand, Starting to look like I'm done buying 911s. I have had two and was thinking about another but not now. I guess I will just enjoy my Macan S....Time to go find a nice used C7 Corvette Z06 for one third the price....Crazy times right now....

Yes, this is the market. I drove my 992C4S for 2.5 years and more than 35k miles. With the value that I got at trade-in, it was darn well near "free" to have all of that fun. Drive your cars.

Asked my SA today about my order. They said they had an update on the timeline, but it turned out to be exactly what is latest on my TYD, which means no delay yet. They said they hadn't seen any delay to other orders either, although they couldn't say if there would be any in the future, due to the ongoing chaos in the world.

It seems that there is no longer any recent update on production in the public news. I am eager to know if the originally to-be-halted production might happen to resume by any chance.

Spoke with my GSM today. Seems that Porsche has pivoted to a supplier in Austria for wiring harnesses. They are still having challenges with the harness for the Tucson, but it’s looking better for sports cars.

Well if this report of Russian forces withdrawing is true this whole thing might be over or at least scaled back.

This recent article says 911 production has not been disrupted by the Ukraine war.

My 4GTS is in production as I type this and looks good for it’s planned production finish (CP8) on 1st April (hopefully not a cruel April fools joke) - factory collection scheduled for April 21st.

After updating my C2S build with some new options, my TYD dates have moved out a full month. Lock date is now mid-June vs mid-May and the new target delivery date is 9/22 vs the original 8/19. My changes were primarily cosmetic - additional leather bits and the alcantara headliner.

Has anyone else had similar changes?

Back when I added leather door sills and a few other items to my ‘22, it pushed my build lock date almost 60 days. That was likely due to the door sills being CXX options.

I added a few mechanical options (ventilated seats, extended fuel tank) to my build about 30 days ago with no change in my lock date. Vehicle is now locked with production starting in a few days.

I don't think minor changes made prior to your lock date should affect your lock date. More likely just a coincidence.

Default Production news

Gents

I was just informed my C-2 will be built April 8 per the production schedule. I pleasantly surprised considering the news we all read regarding a cessation in 911 production on April 1.
I hope this is good news for all others waiting as well.

Cheers
