Order it through Suncoast. It’ll be cheaper.

I’ve noticed a lot of places are cheaper than suncoast if you order online and pick up. See if you have a dealer nearby that has an online ordering process. My local dealer is always cheaper than suncoast.

I've had a lot of good luck in the past with small damage and rock chips on many of my cars using Dr. Color Chip. It does a really good job filling the damage and the paint matches are really good.
Just some more food for thought for another alternative to fixing this. Good luck!

I wonder if this item is cheaper elsewhere:

why do people think a carefully done repair is 'half-assed'. speak for yourself.

This product is good for CHIPS - not for CHUNKS missing. He has CHUNKS missing and would need some body filler, sanding, etc. Really not that tough - if it were me I'd probably try to fix the old myself before buying new. That piece is so low that absolute perfection (like you'd want in the middle of a body panel) is really not required.

Agree 100%. There is a lot of bad advice in this thread based on the OP's original picture and description of damage. It continues to amaze me how wide the gap is in overall "mechanical knowledge of vehicles" there appears to be on this forum - some guys are true "roll up their sleeves, get the car on the lift in the garage, and lets change those spark plugs or PDK fluid at 40,000 miles". Others truly couldn't pull a wheel off if their life depended on it. And the latter group gets REALLY testy when you mention it!!! I came from Corvettes - most of those owners did their own service work, etc. and knew stuff. This has been the biggest surprise to me learning the Porsche forum "norms".

OK - flame suit on - let 'er rip!

Good luck to the OP and apologies in advance if this creates a temporary threadjack. At least I think the OP has good information / advice to use now.

I said earlier in the thread it depends on how picky the OP is for perfection. I realize it’s not a critical or high visibility area , and it’s an easily removable part. But when it comes to applying paint to my $200K Porsche, I let the pros do it because they have training, do it daily for a living, and have the equipment (paint guns, paint booth).

If that's all the damage - then is it CRAZY to take this to a body shop or the dealer. If you want it to look "perfect" - you will be repainting the bumper and front splitter/spoiler. It'll cost $$$ and you'll now have a car with non-original paint on the front.

As others have pointed out, that front splitter is easily replaceable. You could wrap it as is, either silver or black (I personally think black looks much better) for a few hundred $ or order a replacement (~$500, I believe) and get it painted (another ~$300-500 since people will apply Porsche tax to painting it)

[QUOTE=Porsche992;17986325]hi guys , looking for advice on how to proceed about this. So I damaged my front aerokit bumper and was wondering if detailing people are usually good at fixing this kind of damage or should I leave it alone and live with it ? What should I expect to pay for someone fixing this if that's even a possibility ? I just don't want to go somewhere and because they see a 911 they feel like they can charge anything they want and it doesn't even look perfect afterwards. Any word of advice on this would be great ,

This exactly happened to me. Costed me around CAD 3K including redoing the PPF. Expensive grocery shopping that day, lol.
