I agree, may not be a perfect repair but after awhile you wont notice or care. I wouldn't have whole the bumper repainted because they will blend the clear into the fenders. Then it will show up on a paint gauge so your going to have to explain it wasn't hit when you sell it. Rather have a few touched up chips than a fender that shows thicker paint . Just look at it as normal ware and tear although the first is the worst to deal with...carl

As painful as that looks, I would not bother fixing it if it were me. Likely bound to happen again.

At most I would very carefully touch up with a microbrush followed by some light wetsanding. Many youtube videos around this - AMMONYC and ChrisFix channels come to mind.

I would just buy the black plastic one that comes on the GTS and throw it on there. I think the lip looks better in black anyway.

Far too nice of a car to leave it like it is and just live with it. IF the damage is confined to what is in the pic then it is confined to that lower piece. Remove the piece - as others have suggested use some filler to repair and respray or get a new one and leave black (which I think would like just fine), There is NO need to go to a Porsche certifed repair shop for something as simple as this - take / keep good pictures and you can document the "history" in the future. Depending on how mechanically inclined you are there is a lot of this you could do yourself - you could save yourself quite a bit of cash. IF it were me I'd take it off myself, drop it off at a good bodyshop, have them fill and respray. Alternative plan would be purchase replacement part, see how it looks in black / considering wrapping in carbon overlay "tape" and reinstall. Again - leaving that is ridiculous - it will haunt you and it shouldn't be that much to repair. NO need to repaint entire bumper and blend any paint - especially that low on the vehicle.

On the sport design bumper , is the lower lip a separate removable piece?

I'd assume so since there is an obvious seam between that lowest piece and the bumper cover directly above.

If you are going to repair don’t do it half ***. Get a new bumper, repainted and installed.

Don’t just get it buffed out and repainted.

Or just leave it as-is.

I don’t think they would blend the fenders on a car this new for a bumper repair. They would remove the bumper from the car, remove the sensors and plastic trims, and refinish. Bumper paint has an extra elastic flex agent anyway, so it wouldn’t even be exactly the same paint as the fender.

To the OP, it really depends on your attitude toward the damage. Can you live with it, and do you want a “good as new, can’t tell it ever happened repair” or a “I can’t tell unless I look closely and nobody else will notice repair”

Again - if the damage is limited to what is seen in the picture there is absolutely NO reason to "go after" the entire bumper. To my eye, it looks like you need only part #12 in the schematic below. Focus on that. That part new is about $600 and I think comes primed from Porsche. Repair your old one and reinstall, Done.

Yes, I agree, I wasn’t sure the lower lip was removable. I don’t have the sport design bumper. This should be a much easier job for body shop. Drop the lower lip off to them , they can repair & refinish and you can probably still drive your car while they repaint that part. I wouldn’t half *** it and try to spray it myself.

Yes! All the OP needs to do is order a new lip, have it painted, remove the old lip and install the new lip himself in 20 minutes.
