It could be months.
We got rear-ended on November 26, and are finally expecting to get our car back this week.
There was a backlog at the Porsche-certified collision center, so that was a one-month delay. There was a wait for parts. The damage required a second appraisal. At least a week for paint. (Bumper cover and blend into the rear fenders; sheet metal wasn't damaged.)
You're looking at three weeks, minimum, and that's assuming all parts are in stock.

Wow, there are so few Porsche-certified body shops.
none on this side of the ocean.

Supply chain is the crucial piece here. I’m in Mid City LA. Every other store near me is a body shop it seems and the cars I’ve seen have been there months. I’m guessing the more exotic the harder to get parts. There’s a cullinan that was rear ended and it’s been at the shop for 4 months. Good luck. Hope it’s quick

You want to use a Porsche Certified Collision Center for the bodywork. These parts normally come unpainted, and the body shop has to make sure that all your panels are uniform.

Just type in your ZIP and it'll give you a list based on location

Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Washington State.
Did you have FAL or was this beyond FAL?

From the appearance this isn't anything FAL would have saved - this isn't "I scraped a concrete bumper" this is "I lost it, massive understeer, and piled it into a concrete curb"

Thanks for the replies. It seems like 2 - 2.5 months is the average.
After the body shop gets approval from insurance, there’s the order delay of parts, then body shop backlog, then Porsche dealer has to check the coolant.
I can’t do much about the first 2 but maybe you can bribe someone at the body shop to get yours done a little earlier.

I was driving, got cut off, front passenger side was sideswiped and I ended up hitting the handicap curb. Luckily it was not a regular height curb or the whole front would have been wrecked.

Thank you for the link. I’m getting it towed to Spectrum.
But does anybody know how long it will normally take to get my car fixed and back to me?
Body shop said it will take about 2 weeks to get insurance approval. They said best case scenario is 1.5 months and worst is 3 months.
I'm so sad.

Given the potential long lead times to get the new body parts, ask the shop to double (triple) check that they orders the right parts based on the VIN. When my 991 GTS was in the shop with similar front end damage, they ended up ordering the wrong front bumper from Germany (ordered the standard S bumper). Ended up a 3mo job took 5+. And, yes, it was a Porsche Approved Collision Center.

I'm sure the certified shop does top work, but I've had my bmws fixed at "non bmw certified" body shops, with good results. How critical is it? I did a zip code search for my home, the place that pops up - I've passed by it, it doesn't really look that impressive from the outside.

It's the inside you should be concerned about not the outside.
