Default 2 Week Report

I picked up my 911 C4 about two weeks ago, below are my initial observations. I have put about 1,000 miles on it.

Very happy with my main appearance selections; Gentian Blue, Truffle Brown with Chalk Stitching and Exclusive Design Wheels painted high gloss black.

Really like the interior inlays in leather.

Very happy with 14 way seats.

Should have ordered the analog clock for the sport chrono timer.

I was surprised how easy it is to see the middle 3 dials on the instrument cluster. Might have ordered night vision had I realized this (lots of deer where I live).

I had about a 250 drive home from the dealer and got a small rock chip on the bumper. My PPF guy was able to fix it with the touch up paint I had pre ordered. I had the full front PPFed and whole car ceramic coated.

My rear fenders now have small chips above where the factory PPF is. Might need to get the whole rear fenders PPFed or just live with it. 😡

Did not order FAL and have not needed it.

Can’t wait to get past the break in period so I can exercise the Sport Package and the car in general. But even keeping the car under 4K RPM it is plenty quick for me.

Nice write up. I decided to do the full PPF since my Targa 4 is a daily driver. Now that you note some debris outside the rear rockers, that seems like a good call.

I also agree on the analog clock (Porsche Design) in place of the sports chrono gauge. But it seemed just crazy to spend $1100 extra for an electric clock. You can get a decent automatic watch for that. It's nuts what they charge for items that literally cost them no more to make than the piece being replaced. That being said, I spec'ed many of them.

Nice write up! You've helped affirm my decision for leather inlays (truffle) and to bite the bullet and do a full PPF. I am hoping at least half the PPF costs come back at resale with a higher resale value for a PPF'd car than not.

He is my grandson, but he is definitely trouble 😁. In the process of purchasing a slim car seat for him and his brother so they can go for a ride.

That's great, but I'd really recommend some sort of driver training for them too.

Nice car, enjoy.

This is super similar to my order - GB/truffle except I had the wood.
The leather does look great too, kind of similar color to wood. I wonder if it’s more prone to wearing and stain as it’s near the cup holder.
maybe I should change to the base aluminum if I worry about stain right?

I only allow water in my 911 so not worried about staining. I agree that the standard piano black or aluminum would not stain. I would think the wood would be stain resistant also. In person the wood with truffle looks great. I was worried that wood might have issues in my dry climate, very rare for the humidity to get above 10%.

Beautiful car. We just got our GB C4S back from the PPF installer and took it for a drive up Mt. Baldy today. I've only put about 150 miles on the car so far, but I definitely prefer it to our 997 and 991.
