Default Market for OEM wheels

My SA asked if they got a GTS allocation, would I take it. Probably, though the Carrera S meets my needs more directly. But I HATE black wheels and there's no other option on the GTS. If I get the car and replace the wheels (either with Porsche OEM's or aftermarket), is there a market for "as new" GTS wheels (maybe 10 miles on them), either with or without OEM tires (again next to no miles)? It would be the black satin RS Spyder set, I don't want center locks (however cool they may be) with the limitations they impose. My other option is to paint the wheels.

I'm with you and in the same spot - I hate black wheels. But, the GTS buyer expects them on resale.

What I am thinking of doing (eyeballing a GTS Targa) is taking the standard GTS Centerlocks, buy a set of the cool GT3 wheels, demount the tires off the black GTS wheels and put the blackies in storage until its time to trade in or sell the car. The GT3 wheels will fit on the GTS with a slight outer offset.

And here's photos in a similar thread https://rennlist.com/forums/992/1266...ls-on-gts.html

You can always sell a set of GT3 Centerlocks.....

Get the wheels painted. It's only $600 for all 4 any color you want and better than OEM quality.

You can get the silver Carrera S wheels on the GTS. Take a look at the configurator.. If you are getting an allocation versus an already configured car that is locked, you should be able to select the silver Carrera S wheels.

I feel you. I’m buying a 991.2 GT3T and it is coming with black wheels which also aren’t my thing. Trying to decide whether I should have them painted silver or get the ridiculously expensive magnesium forged BBS wheels and store the black ones.

On a GTS you can spec the Carrera S wheels which come in five lug AND silver.

The issue with GTS centerlocks ( Turbo S look) is that no other 911 can use them except another GTS.

They are a Turbo S look, but different width and offsets.

Are the Carrera S and Spyder wheels for the GTS the same width and offsets as the S?

No it will. Sorry I read your post wrong.

The optional Carrera S wheels and the Spyder wheels for the GTS are identical to the Carrera S wheels and Spyder wheels for the Carrera S. Size and offsets are the same.

**Added: Carrera Classic wheels will also fit your GTS.

Don't like the Carrera S wheels. I've asked if the grey RS Spyder wheels can be put on the GTS.
